Panthers release depth chart vs WFT
rippadonn replied to TLGPanthersFan's topic in Carolina Panthers
How about Sir Purr instead? Kinda short notice. -
Cam is the spiritual and actual leader of this team. He got the keys to the franchise and everyone needs to get used to that again. Cam has grown tremendously since he was last here. He's been with arguably the "best(most coddled)" franchise in football. All the haters, he didn't go to the Jets, Dolphins, Lions or Bengals. He went to a "top notch" organization. He's back now at a, young for a QB age of 32. What people fail to realize is in totality this may be a better Cam than when he left because of reasons stated above, and a better man because he was starting to focus on being a full time dad instead of "Cam Newton". He's obviously more excited than we are. He's grown and developed since we were last analyzing his every move. I'm excited to see the new Cam. He said he was coming to a team that would allow Cam to be Cam. We haven't seen THAT guy since Chud left plus he's more seasoned now. I'm excited to see our new QB.

We weren't one of those teams whose problem was finding a QB. That is like football hell. I'm glad he's back. It may not be "logical'" but I think we both deserve each other's loyalty. Ride him out. Respect him. Get him the best cuts of meat. Whatever meat is for Cam these days. I'm ready to hug it out and put the ring back on till we......wait what?

Deangelo Williams and Gary Barnidge on Cam and yesterday's game

I was thinking that this morning. Having gone to NE and come back is as big market as you can get. His play will determine it but he's a lock I think. Just like Pep. -

He's not the only great football player on this football team. He solves a problem FOR US that some teams don't have. No star had us #1 on their list. Only #1. Thank God somebody loves us too. Embrace that. -

Let Cam be Cam. Run Air Coryell and you'll see that arm. -

Better passer than Sam Darnold and TeddyB. Better player overall by miles. Clutch as heck! Yes. Yes. Yes -

Those two have been eating a lot of lemons. Both sour as heck. Good thing is their lips will already be puckered to kiss Cams ars after this season. -
Letting Cam go was a mistake in hindsight. He should have gotten the Andrew Luck treatment, like whenever Andy, quitter Andy. We all know that but how many team owners would correct course like this. All the naysayers will again be proven wrong. The HEART of the Carolina Panthers is back. God gave us that #1 pick and Cam and no mortal shall taketh away. Ride him into the sunset idiots. Stop it. Be happy!

From Peter King's Football Morning in America column today
rippadonn replied to PanthersATL's topic in Carolina Panthers
I've seen this guy overcome a lot. They said he'd never throw again because it was degenerative. He passed the physical for and played for the New England Patriots. The limitations they may perceive with Cam are due to scheme. Not letting Cam be Cam. The doubters and Peter King will eat crow again and again. The media wanted Cam to be the bad guy coming out of Auburn. He did a great job of never being what THEY wanted him to be. I wouldn't bet against Cam Newton, especially one that has been cleared by a doctor. A real doctor. If you want to know what happened in NE? Round peg, square hole. This team hadn't sniffed the end zone in weeks. Look what happened. Cam has his super suit back and he may not be 2015 Cam but if he's 70% that guy it's better than TB and Darnold. It sure looks like 80-90% Cam too me. Is he football ready? That's my only concern. Is he the future? 4yrs or so, yes. Running the ball playing defense and a good/great QB has gotten us to the dance twice. Veteran QBs win Superbowls all the time. Nothing wrong with having one. -

That's why I don't understand the fan base sometimes. Panthers have never been a scrub franchise. Good to middle, yes. Never scrubs. They beasted that night in 96'. -
