I'm going with, Tepper has taken the wheel and putting Sam out there for the purpose of tape is a Tepper decision. I think the owner is in the process of taking his team back. To me Cam for him was a square one move that signaled the end of Rhules "philosophy".

A couple upgrades, like two, and this defense is tops. Another year with Gilmore and Cam in camp. FA o linemen. Draft a couple more the team at it's core is still a contender especially if CMC can give us a year. The weakness is at HC.

Totally agree. As far as hands, Smitty would smoke Robby and DJ. They need to work on being elite ball catchers. Too many times Cam has hit guys in the hands just to get an incompletion.

People want change for the sake of change not for any particular reason. That is not honest evaluation, something that should have been done by Rhule upon arrival. He didn't have to put the QB position into turmoil bit he did. Change for the sake of change, putting your "stamp" on the team and locker room. In hindsight Cam Newton was the better reclamation project who may have deserved a contract, instead he gets a NY Jets reclamation project preceded by a Saints reclamation project Teddy B who at the time got beat out by Taysom Hill. I recently heard a broadcaster say Rhule was an offensive coach. That is more of an indictment than a compliment. I then understood the heart of the problem on offense.

Cam is the only guy on the field setting NFL records in a Panthers uniform a unicorn and still underappreciated by too many fans. If you want to build a team next season to be in win now mode for the next couple years with THIS defense(players) you go with Cam for as long as you can and build the Oline through the draft and FA. Veteran QBs usually give you the best chance to win as long as you have players around them, that can catch.
