Some of us here...ehm...ripp...and others said on this here site BEFORE LaMelo played a game as a Hornet that we either had Sean Livingston or Magic Johnson. Either way we picked a good/great 6'7" PG. Big Kendrick Perkins had it correct a long time ago too... Everybody in the organization needs to stop the wondering and start the Bee-lieving because this IS LaMelos Hornets, believe it or not.

Yeah, we as day one Panthers fans have seen expansion football, we've seen playoffs, we've seen Superbowls. We are a somewhat sophisticated fan base because we've seen the high and low and we understand why and how. Having been a Panthers fan so long "building" is an insult to our collective intelligence. We know in the professional NFL you basically build a team to win or lose every off-season. You lose on purpose in the off-season or win on purpose in the off-season everybody can see it. If you can't drive the car you can't drive the car, who built it is irrelevant.

Chud was our most creative OC. Don't know what that says about our offenses but it's true.

Offseason finally here. Let's get down to business.

You obviously don't see him struggling hopelessly. Throwing guys under the bus on his way down. His Baylor/Temple(tweener, overachievers not elite players not elite coaches) love affair that has lead to a weak roster? We do. But whatevs. -

Last draft was a QB deep draft but we surprised them! -

Went over some heads there. -
Whoooooo. That arm! At his best he's pretty damn good. The ball comes off his finger tips and just travels. Beautiful. I wouldn't be mad at Strong at six actually. It's a better pick than old Pickett. Those throws at distance are so effortless for this young guy. That's a NFL arm. His motion tricks the eye in that it doesn't look like velocity until the damn ball is way down the field dropped in a bucket. Also he did scramble a bit in that video above.
-
Strong did have a surgery, yes, but unlike Zach Wilson not shoulder surgery. Maybe his lack of mobility last year could be attributed to that but regardless he was slinging it!
-
That golden arm yo! It's the NFL, that matters. He doesn't throw a lot of ints seems to take good care of the ball. Threw over 4000. Proof is in the pudding, what he's done on the field. At a young age and already having NFL height and arm strength. Much better prospect than Pickett.
-
The difference between Pickett and Strong is huge. Strong is a better product at a younger age than Pickett. Imagine Strong and that arm of his with two years of NFL strengthening and coaching instead of two more years of college ball. Strong's upside is so much greater than the older Pickett he's burning brighter sooner and an NFL prospect as a junior. NOT Fhules Gold.

Game tape and stats are pretty damn good, senior bowl shouldn't be the reason why/why not. Plus he's young.

Neither Big Ben, Aaron Rodgers or Andrew Luck were the best QBs in the NFL because of stellar players like Brees, Brady but they gave you a chance to win and throughout leadership changes they stuck with their franchise QBs. This franchise ownership STARTS with getting rid of an all time Panthers great with a couple years of tread left on his tires in favor of chaos. Their first karmic mistake was kicking Cam in the ars like they did, as disrespectfully as it was done. Some QBs like Jake, Cam although not perfect, they're better than average at times elite and you always have a chance to win if everyone else is doing his job. Some guys have "it". "It" can't be taken for granted. "It" is God given. -
Trade that damn pick for something in the first something in the second, get your C,LT and use that 2nd on a upside QB like Carson Strong. He's young enough with enough upside where his rookie contract could be gold. NFL size at 6'4" 220 and a damn cannon for an arm (able to stretch an NFL defense and they know it) and a 36 TD to 8int ratio like 4100+ yards, accurate and only a junior in college.

We can no longer talk sht to BUCS fans. Can't. They continued to build any way they could. Tepper comes in with his wrecking ball and amateur coaching staff to replace OUR NFL coaching staff. Know it all's can really f' some sht up in short order. In hindsight, shoulda stayed with Cam while building the O line and used that time that he was rehabbing to draft Lance who would have been ready to take over this year or next, OR Rhule could have let Hurndog make a deal to move up (not far) to snatch Justin Herbert but NO. Mistake #1 on Fhule, destroying continuity at QB before addressing the real deficiencies that plagued this team since the ouster of Jordan Gross. Water under the bridge but right now I'd rather have had Tampa's leadership over Teppers last four years of flailing. Cap and all they got the trophies. -

Wowsers, looks like they're actually trying to "win" SB and all while we're building a "culture" of losing and losing and losing till one day, gosh darn it, your gonna get tired of getting your ass beat and you're gonna win, 1000%. -
Detroit...... Detroit.......the NFL is becoming a punchline.
-
When the pundits started calling it CMCs team when Cam was still here it was very very telling of the "culture" Tepper was trying to bring. A culture of stupidity and disrespect.
-
The NFL has done absolutely NOTHING to address the Clete Blakeman screwjob, if anything they applaud it.
-
Will the NFL/Vegas ever "favor" the Carolina Panthers because that's the only way they can ultimately "win".
-
We as Panthers fans saw the NFL give the Broncos and Patriots every advantage they could possibly ask for. Allegedly including playbooks. So I can understand where a lack of hunger can be killed by absolute pessimism. Had we not been to the Superbowl twice 03' and 15' we may not have been so aware of the NFL trying their best to hold this franchise down. It's even more evident with them assigning Tepper to the franchise without even giving serious consideration to the local ownership group. Maybe this insider didn't put the pride of Carolina ahead of the NFL wanting the Panthers to be the Washington Generals. With Flores coming out with the pay to loose accusations it brings light to the paid to lose theories we've all had for years and totally takes away from the legitimacy of the NFL and it's officiating. We're jaded and rightfully so.
-
This really sucks. This is worse than the lockout year. This is embarrassing and really disheartening. At least Jerry Richardson understood when to let go of George Seifirt for the sake of the organization and the city. Tepper is trying to convince us that he was right about Rhule. It's more ridiculous the more this Fhule sticks around. Fhule has failed, he ain't building anything here but a losing franchise that wasn't a bottom feeder until he 1000% made us bottom feeders slurping up anything the Jets poop out of their ass. Sad sad days in Panther land.
-
If Rhule loves him, he will suck in the NFL or be another 6'3" Sam Darnold. No thanks to Rhules decision making. IF he's on top of Matt Rules QB list it's the wrong pick gauranteed. Don't do it!

Came up short.
