Fiz (I think) brought that up yesterday. This behavior, all of it was un-Panther in the traditional sense. Richardson wouldn't have touched Watson with a ten foot pole. JR may have liked jeans days and the ladies but you've got to respect how he put the pride of his organization first, in hindsight.

This. I just think that if we can karmically repair what was done to Cam the football God will smile on us again. We as a franchise have been in this situation before Jake after Jake, before Cam and now BY CHOICE after Cam. Nobody wants to come here if they can choose a destination. Get a couple know it all's from Penn(lol) and their view of the world, that's what you get. Had they just treated Cam right. Played him let him retire in peace, other QBs would see that. These Penn know it all's know nothing about humans do they. Reputation matters. Integrity matters. Your word matters. How you treat people that are good to you and your organization matter. It seemed they took pleasure back then in targeting Cam for a kick in the shtter when Cam was never the obstacle he was a solution or part of it. They wanted to get rid of him to destroy whatever the Panthers were. They didn't have to "rebuild" anything, all they had to do was take the wheel and not crash the car, but that's exactly what they chose to do. Stupid. Now DW4 made them look even more stupid and inept.

Ownership is a laughing stock. Coach is a laughing stock. They came in and treated Cam as badly as you could treat a franchise QB, legend, with absolutely no respect. Until nobody can remember that we're f'd. The blow it up crowd and Tepper himself were loving it then. What about now?

The rebuild needs to focus on our reputation. Start at coach.
