  1. I'm just trying to be optimistic as I can at this point and hoping they realize that it's time to move on with this young group. I think everything Richardson has been pissed and shtted on to the point where the "rebuild" should be fully committed to in earnest.
  2. I don't quite remember us EVER being #32. Now we're Jetsville.
  3. He could play another couple years as a slot receiver, gadget guy.
  4. We were playing the 2QB system in the NFL. We didn't even get to see him play after the first couple. Rhule somehow needed to get Sam back on the field. At that point it was meaningless, should have just ran with QB1, especially for the price.
  5. Mentoring is done with headphones and a clipboard on the sideline. Whomever it is, probably not Cam, needs to know they are QB2 in this situation. Cam had DA.
  6. Cam can't make an amateur offense look good. Everybody had Rhules offense figured out. Sam was shut down after his third game and maybe it wasn't Teddy and maybe Teddy was right. It was easy for a real NFL staff to diagnose and conquer an amateur system. They also pass around notes on you if you're dominating or if they want you out of the league. Tepper took the football organization down to the studs to the detriment of the Panthers generally ok historical record. 4 losing seasons in a row. Now it's the bottom of the barrel. Jetsville. The best thing Tepper can do is use this opportunity in finally drafting a potential franchise LT and getting a steal of a potential franchise QB to hitch his wagon to these young guys and finally TURN THE PAGE. Fully focus on the road ahead. It's a good time to move forward.
  7. Ok....just sharing what the news said at the time. I believe Rhule was more involved than you do for sure. In any case HC is responsible for all that suck.
  8. CAM is who Matt Corral should be looking at if he's on the sideline and in the weight room in the QB room. Cam has something to teach about actual winning.
  9. Fitty understands, and even moreso after meeting/working with Cam. The Panthers for many years was considered a classy organization. Cam exemplifies every bit off that. We helped raise him right, Charlotte. Couldn't be more proud to see the goat kick their teeth in once more if he chooses.
  10. From the report I remember it being his system. Brady running his system. Only reason I remember that report, again, was it was a surprise to me.
  11. I was surprised to hear it was Rhules offense in the news because I thought he was a defensive guy for some reason.
  12. Just heard it was Rhules offense, I don't know, maybe based of simple concepts trying to dumb things down. If you remember the OC changed concept didn't.
  13. He's not the only former Bears QB 87' that is also a great coach. Jim Harbaugh was the Bears QB for 14yrs and deserves just as much of a look. Either guy could come in and compete for best Panthers coach ever.
  14. Sam had his chance. He needs a clipboard and headphones and to be a good backup.
  15. It later came out that it was Rhules simplistic offense.
  16. Fitt! May the best player win. Doesn't matter rookie or vet! That's Fitty! Sam has to beat the young guy. Game on. The hunter has become the hunted. Let's eat!
  17. He is more knowledgeable about the Panthers than most. He pissed Smitty off so bad he was shook, looking over his shoulder for #89. Smitty was playing then so Florio has a little Panther cred at least.
  18. Knowing that and other glaring stats not in favor of Sam continuing to start in the NFL, not starting Matt Corral out of the SEC is an example of bad losing not good losing. If your rookie QB is on the field gaining valuable experience getting in game reps with DJ, CMC and Robby it's growth. If Sam is out there doing the same or slightly better it's part of the long decay and the same old Sam old. Jets aren't usually the smart ones in the room historically until they found a unsavy desperate buyer. Luck would have it that the number #1 rated college prospect of last season who played in the hardest, not the softest, conference full of future NFL prospects somehow landed on your roster. The universe gives you a new horse and THAT'S the one you keep in the stable out in the pasture. Nonsense. Let's eat!
  19. If he ends up being your second QB, a lot. QBs are much more valuable in trade if their any good. Atlanta got a pretty good haul from their second stringer Matt Shaub. Patriots pulled that off the Cassell.
  20. That would have been a fun training camp. Corral & Strong. That's optionality. At the end of it you've either got a damn good backup or a very tradable QB.
