  1. His name is Miles Kennedy and he also sings for Slash's band. Love Slash, but Kennedy's voice starts to wear on me pretty quickly. Too high-pitched and almost whiny.
  2. Actually it was a pair of loose fit jeans, long sleeve flannel shirt unbuttoned halfway with a black undershirt and I had a back support belt on (was at work)... she thought I was a lumberjack.... and came back to see me two more times just to make sure she wasn't missing anything. Showed her the size of my hands, palmed a b-ball and told her I wear a size 14 shoe. In like Flint! We met 20 years ago......
  3. Sitting on the deck at Topsail, olive shorts, black long-sleeve T and gray/lime green Asics GT1000s- gettin' ready for a walk on the beach... fug everyone, I'm on vacation.....
  4. I'll be 60 soon and if I ever see any of you wearing khakis and loafers without socks, I will beat your ass. The most utterly ridiculous fashion "trend" I've seen in decades.
  5. GTFO. You're in Colorado and the definition of "freeway" up there is any road with asphalt on it. .
  6. You may want to check Jaworski's career before lumping him in with George and Marinovich. Don't care for him as a broadcaster/analyst, but he had a pretty respectable career.
  7. How long before Chip Kelly is called to the NFL offices....
  8. One needs to know which role their agent will play- seller's agent, buyer's agent or a dual agent. Any limitations regarding what information the agent is obligated to disclose is based upon which role they assume.
  9. First time I saw the Eagles, Jackson Browne on piano...
  10. But you're wrong. I don't hate Tiger. I hate the fact the media and his adoring fan base give him a pass (as well as many, many very talented, star athletes) with his/their behavior. Because he's a great golfer, everyone is supposed to overlook the fact the guy is basically a dick and has repeatedly demonstrated it on and off the course.
  11. Gotta be happy for the kid. Gotta be sad for the kid at the same time because the media has already begun the "Is he the next Tiger?" stuff.....
  12. Nobody on the first page of the leaderboard is playing particularly well, while a bunch of guys at the -6 to -10 range are playing really well- we just don't get to watch them. Zach Johnson Dustin Johnson Hideki Matsuyama Hunter Mahan Ian Poulter all playing well under par.... It's Spieth's to lose. An all-out choke is the only way he doesn't win.
  13. Ummm, first of all, because it wasn't front page headline news and CBS didn't have to apologize on international TV for it since they didn't broadcast it. Second, there probably isn't any video of it since nobody cares about Henrik Stenson and I watched the entire coverage yesterday and never saw Stenson even make a replay, let alone every single shot, like Tiger. Next innuendo please. Or just ask the fugging question you want to, but for some reason don't have the balls?

  15. The fact The Huddle has a mod who lives there should tell you everything you need to know: 2 words: witness protection
  16. Love how Tiger lets his driver and an "F---" bomb fly on #13, then gets completely excused when he makes birdie. Takes CBS about 10 minutes to say, "We apologize for anything you may have heard that offended you a moment ago." Why is CBS apologizing when it was the new and improved, more personal, friendlier Tiger who said it? Meh, he's out of it regardless. I think the winner comes from the last 2 groups and I'm not totally convinced Spieth can hold the lead as much as I like the kid (despite the fact he a fugging Dallas product who loves the Cowboys). And Phil's bogey on #17 was stupid. He flat out hammered that putt over the ridge.
  17. Dustin Johnson is the first player ever at the Masters to have 3 eagles in the same round.... and he jumped up the leaderboard. I think anyone of the top 7 on the leaderboard can win.
  18. Tiger let his daughter putt and got DQ'd. Thought he would teach the kid how to take an illegal drop.
  19. Has been playing really well lately, yes. But geez does he let his emotions get to him and he occasionally gets his arms locked up and flares them way right, then overcompensates, like yesterday, and almost pulled it into the water. He is putting lights out right now, which will help him immensely at Augusta.
  20. Zach Johnson to win his second green jacket.
  21. In order of greatness: California Jam, Ontario Motor Speedway, April 1974 The Last Waltz, Winterland Ballroom, San Francisco Thanksgiving Day, 1976 Eagles (Hell Freezes Over Tour 1994-1996) Greensboro Coliseum. Bruce Springsteen, UNC Chapel Hill 2003 Metallica, San Diego Sports Arena 1992 The Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies, 1999, some little bar in Asheville with about 40 people in attendance (amazing) Gov't Mule, 1998, another little bar in Asheville before their first major CD release Been to many shows that were far from great, but since I don't mind paying good money, I always try to find the best in any performance, although I did walk out of a "concert" once in Greensboro. Springsteen did a show there, solo with a guitar, in the round. The ushers refused entrance or exit while he was playing and between every song we were treated to his political ramblings. He played a lot of really obscure stuff, including a lot of covers he's never recorded and it really wasn't all that good. Place was dead silent and every tune got a golf clap. Aside from the fact I paid to see a concert not to listen to his political opinions, regardless of party affiliation. We left after 45 minutes of waiting for a real concert to break out...
  22. Just get a frame-fit pump, a couple replacement tubes and a pair of tire levers. If you catch a flat on the road, just put a new tube in and wait til you get home to look for the leak and patch the other tube.
  23. Not much help here. either. I earned 3 undergrad degrees from my GI Bill before I retired in 1993 and none of them were of any importance over my Navy career when it came to going to work after retiring. Nobody gives 2 poos about my degrees when they see my Navy career on the resume. All the intangibles that come with that career are far more valuable than a degree in history, maritime law or english.
