  1. Pretty BS article. Doesn't come close to this: Brind'Amour's current contract is set to expire this summer, but Dundon says he's not worried about negotiating a new deal. "I've never been concerned," Dundon said Tuesday on The Bob McCown Podcast. "I've never really had a problem keeping good people, if I want to keep them, we keep them, we'll find a way and he's the best. "I have no interest in owning the team without him coaching it, so he's going to coach it." The Hurricanes hired Brind'Amour as head coach in May 2018 and have ascended to become one of the league's top teams since. Carolina owns a 115-64-19 record with Brind'Amour behind the bench and has made the playoffs in three straight seasons, including a trip to the Eastern Conference Final in his first campaign. Dundon credits Brind'Amour, who previously served as an assistant coach, for changing the culture of the club when he was promoted. "That's probably the main thing. There were a couple of really good players, but there was a person here who was really good at getting the most out of everyone and creating a culture. "And he loves the Hurricanes, right? That wasn't something a lot of people can say. Even when we were no good, he still loved it, and he thought about it the way it was when he played and they were good."
  2. Great. The draft weekend is a single day past and Huddlers are still waiting for the starting LT who should have been on the roster by now. There were 2 OTs available when Carolina opted for a CB in round 1. There were 5 OTs available when Carolina opted for a WR in round 2. So, yeah, there were a few opportunities to get a high-quality starter before round 3.
  3. So, how's that gonna work? Your guy kicks off, goes thru the uprights for 1 point. Being as they just scored, they have to kick off again, so they just keep going until he misses? "Joey Slye, lining up for his 5th kickoff with the Panthers now trailing by 3 instead of 7...."
  4. And it showed just how flawed his approach is: https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/grading-nfl-mock-drafts-2021-mel-kiper-todd-mcshay-peter-king/fw2xshq63xru1krh7smxmw85l Vinnie Lyler (Sporting News): 7/32 Mel Kiper (ESPN): 5/32 Todd McShay (ESPN): 9/32 Daniel Jeremiah (NFL Network): 4/32 Peter King (NBC Sports): 9/32
  5. To be fair, Mel Kiper has made a living off the NFL draft, and he doesn't even pay attention to what team needs are. He simply puts out a mock based on where he ranks players. And when he's wrong (a lot), he acts all pissy, makes excuses and tries to tell us the team screwed up.
  6. To be fair, I posted this with about 7 minutes left in regulation.... But yeah.... when it got to 3:00 I knew it was going to OT
  7. After all that work, I expected a 3-1 lead by now.
  8. That goal was even weaker on the replay. Charity goal.
  9. How did CBJ sink to the bottom so fast since the trade deadline? Can't wait to see how the 4th line performs tonite.
  10. Can't wait to see the Panther depth chart. I'm sure it'll make the Sunday comics.
  11. Good win and good to see Foegele, Skjei and TT all get tallies. The Skjei goal was a subtle beauty. He got the defender on one knee committed, hesitated with a short drag and the goalie never moved.
  12. BOA will look like a COVID event by week 8. Nobody there.
  13. The Carolina Hurricanes won yet again and they've already clinched a playoff spot. In other news, the Panthers still haven't figured out how to draft.
  14. For those of you who care, the Panthers selected a corner back with their first round pick. Yes, there was a poo ton of talent sitting their waiting and your Carolina Panthers bombed another draft pick.
  15. I'll find out where the lake is they filmed the commercial and offer to take her out on my motorboat....
