  1. Even with this mess of questionables and IRs, it will be yet another low point in the season when Kirk fugging Cousins plays 4 quarters of football while Carolina does their patented 20 minute playing time disappearing act. The Vikes catch up and take the lead in the 3rd and hold on for a 27-20 win.
  2. Tough couple games right out the gate- Islanders and Preds.... ughhhh. I feel confident the skaters will do their part and they'll be fine, but the net-minders might make this a painful season. Let's hope they both stand on their heads this season and have career years.
  3. 59 points in a league where no one plays defense. Wow. This only further proves my point the NBA is unwatchable.
  4. Yeah. After all, didn't a lot of us older folks spend our childhoods riding our bikes behind the DDT mosquito fogging truck and spend the first several months of our lives chewing on the lead-based paint that our cribs were finished in? And we're perfectly normal...
  5. Svech got paid in August and he's set for another 8 seasons. Aho is still under contract for this season and 2 more. TT is a UFA the same time as Aho.
  6. The last month on the Huddle- 30 days ago: We're rebuilding. It's a multi-year project. After a 3-0 start: Hmmm, this team may be a playoff contender. After the CJ & Gilmore deals: Fug the rebuild. Fitterer is wanting to win now! After 2 consecutive losses: TBD
  7. A little surprised to see Gelinas waived. He played pretty okay with what time on ice he had. I'm very concerned with the goalie situation. Anderson gave up 3 soft ones to Nashville the other night.
  8. PSL Owner from 1995 to 2012. Hate to tell you this, but, aside from 2-3 seasons, it's always been what you describe in Charlotte.
  9. I completely agree with the OP. And a simple rhetorical question for the head coach: How do you rationalize your belief that controlling the line of scrimmage an establishing a running game are paramount to success, yet the team has done nothing over the past 2 off seasons to build an OL? You have an all-world running back behind a garbage O-line. You traded for an upgrade at the QB position and put him behind a garbage O-line. Care to explain how this team will maybe someday try controlling the LOS? Sorry, this team is Rivera/Shula 2.0.
  10. There are guys at home on the couch better than this O-line.
  11. 11 sacks and close to 30 QB hits in the last 3 games. But, yeah! Go get some more DBs!
  12. Panthers always find a way to play down to the competition.
  13. O-line is getting worse as the game goes on. Darnold will be hospitalized by the 4th quarter. And Brady is weak.
  14. Wow, that Gilmore trade is really paying off! O-line is pure sh!t
  15. How come when people talk Twizzlers, they never mention the black licorice Twizzler? They always assume it's the red licorice. And, this is the best candy bar ever made: FTW......

    Legion of Boom

Yep. Stafford threw for 365 on 25 completions. That's 14.6 yards per completion. Robert Woods and Cooper Cupp had over 240 yards between them. Not to mention the Rams ran for over 100 as well. Geno Smith? I didn't even know he was still playing football....
  17. So, what? The team acquires some DBs and all of a sudden this is a playoff team with high expectations? All the while ignoring the fact the QB is getting manhandled (sacked 11 times thru 4 games and 20 hits in the past 2 games). Your starting QB left a team who got him pummeled and left him shell-shocked, came to a team with a lot of upside, but has done nothing to protect him. When this team decides they want to protect their QB, then I'll believe they can win 9 or 10 games this season and possibly make the playoffs. Until then, I'll just hope Darnold makes it thru each offensive series without a major injury.
  18. It's all fun and games until someone loses a QB.....
