New guys doing all the heavy lifting. Carrier, Walker, Jost, Roslovic are all having very good games.
-
Nobody had Carrier.
-
Should have taken Shitstain with the shutout.
-
They still have at least 25 more losses coming.
-
Robinson.

Carolina v. NY Rags are 62-82-9 lifetime with a 3.3 GAA. Shitstain owns a 5-5 record against the Canes with a .908 SV% while allowing 2.75 GAA. Kochetkov is 2-2 against the Rags, with a very respectable .923 SV% and a 2.27 GAA. All that said, both teams are not close to their former selves of the last few years. Nevertheless, Canes don't play early afternoon games well, don't play well at MSG and there's no reason to have any lofty expectations today. A loss won't surprise me, 1 point I'll be happy with and a win will be cause for celebration.

Thank you, Seth Jarvis.

They are a better team without Ovechkin. 5 guys playing 200 feet, which isn't the case with him in the lineup. 2 different teams- the one who feeds Ovechkin until he gets the record, and the one that wants to win games when he's out of the lineup. 3-0 Washington. Canes will lose tonight, again in NY Sunday and NJ next Friday. All the teams they need to beat come playoff time and they will show us they can't.

https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/3162765/report-forsberg-vejmelka-vladar-on-hurricanes-radar The Carolina Hurricanes are eyeing a trio of goaltenders to fortify their depth between the pipes. Ottawa's Anton Forsberg, Utah's Karel Vejmelka, and Calgary's Dan Vladar are on Carolina's radar, reports The Athletic's Pierre LeBrun. However, none of those teams are in sell mode yet and might not be at all depending on how their seasons go, LeBrun notes. All three goalies are pending unrestricted free agents. Forsberg has posted an .889 save percentage in 11 games with the Senators this campaign as Linus Ullmark's backup. The 32-year-old journeyman previously spent time in Raleigh during in 2019-20. Vejmelka has emerged as Utah's starter this season, registering a sparkling .915 save percentage in 17 appearances. Vladar has struggled with an .885 save percentage in 16 games while sharing the Flames' crease with Dustin Wolf. The Canes also reportedly spoke to the Anaheim Ducks about John Gibson after missing out on Mackenzie Blackwood, who was dealt to the Colorado Avalanche on Dec. 9. Pyotr Kochetkov has struggled with an .895 save percentage in 18 games as Carolina's No. 1 goalie this season. Veteran netminder Frederik Andersen hasn't played since October and was given an eight-week timeline after undergoing knee surgery in late November.

I'll update at the end of the month since it's been pretty slow, meaning not a lot of winners.

Scott Fowler on game, Young, Panthers. Not wrong
Anybodyhome replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
But 21 losses in 25 games does. -
The Canes lost Bunting (13), TDA (3), Noesen (14), Pesce (3), Skjei (13), Teravainen (25), Guentzel (8), Kuznetsov (2), who accounted for 81 of Carolina's 277 goals (29.2%) last season. They were replaced with Blake (0), Carrier (6), Gostisbehere (7), Robinson (3), Roslovic (9), Walker (10), who scored a combined 35 goals last season. I'm not going to comment on this- make up your own mind.

Tokarski is starting in net. Based on what I watched during pre-game warm-ups before the Friday night game, he let in 5 of his first 8 practice soft shots from straight on. RBA has changed his lines yet again. As I stated in another thread, it's now a look of desperation. Throwing lines together trying to find something that works with another non-NHL goalie...

Robinson. RBA has changed the lines up yet again. At this point it's a look of complete desperation.

All the songs on side 2 of this album feature Elton John on piano and includes the song "Rock Me When He's Gone," which is one of the first collaborations from Elton John and Bernie Taupin. Rod Stewart produced part of the album, Elton John the remainder. Ron Wood appears on a few numbers, as does Maggie Bell and Sam Mitchell. The album contains original work as well as blues covers of Willie Dixon, Lead Belly, a Randy Newman tune and a tune by Rod Stewart, Ron Wood and Ronnie Lane. Reginald Dwight (Elton John) and Baldry were in a band called "Bluesology" from 1966-1967.

https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/3159048/aho-owns-scoring-slump-ive-got-to-be-better It's no coincidence the Carolina Hurricanes' worst stretch of the season has corresponded with Sebastian Aho's goal-scoring funk. The Canes fell 3-0 at home to the Ottawa Senators on Friday, dropping to 4-6-1 in their past 11 games. Aho has found twine just twice during that stretch. "I've gotta be better, no question about it," Aho said postgame. "But at the same time, I think we've got to find some chemistry between the linemates as well, and especially the nights that you're not feeling it." The offensive well has dried up a bit of late for the Hurricanes. They haven't had a five-on-five goal from a forward in three consecutive contests. Aho doubled down on the need for his line - featuring Andrei Svechnikov and Jack Roslovic - to improve. "It's not always easy, it's not always going your way, but that's the time when you need to grind one out," Aho continued. "So I've got to be better, and obviously our line's got to be better." Aho has been remarkably consistent throughout his career, scoring 36 goals in each of the past two seasons and 37 the year before that. However, with seven goals in 29 games this season, he's on pace for what would be a career-low 20. The playmaking has still been there, though. He's picked up 11 assists in his past 11 games and ranks second on the team with 30 points this season. ------------------------------------------------------ Aho's problem illustrates one of the biggest problem this team has- their level of play, on both ends of the ice, is completely and 100% predicated on scoring. If Aho is not scoring goals, his entire game is crap. If Svechnikov isn't scoring goals, he started looking to pass first and not shoot. The most consistent piece of the top line is the guy with the least experience on that line- Roslovic.

Roslovic.

So, tell us why you're still here? This thread has devolved into Carolina Panther level trash. Think I'm gonna check out for a while. See you guys down the road. Maybe we can get back to talking hockey at some point.
-
Blatant charge, boarding or cross-check penalty when Mayfield hit Chatty. Goes uncalled and NY scores the tying goal.
-
Nobody had Svech? Oh well.

SMDH.

He's got the same lines as Thursday vs the Avs. Tripp has mentioned it at least 3 times already.
