Sorry this is posted in the other thread, my bad.
-
I for one, am relieved for the names in bold. Bobby is an odd one this cycle. I won't believe he takes a job until he actually takes one.
-
If I’m in the FO I WANT WAS to interview and hire someone else so idk how helpful that would be
-
Such a hardon we didn't even interview him. Must be ED.

Now I do remember seeing this, thanks. I feel like we aren't done with our HC pool. Slowik has a Commander's interview tonight. Maybe he goes there and it continues our pursuit of Ben J
-
His brother didn't say anything of the sort lol
-
Quinn..? Why would we give him a second interview .. no one wants him to be the HC lol MacDonald has no known second interviews rn. Same for Johnson, there is nothing reported for them.. because they can't interview until next week anyways.
-
who all from the previous coaching staff has been fired?

TBD until a new coach comes in. -
This 10000000% he’s a former player, he’s well versed in media sessions. Don’t tell me, show me.
-
*BRIAN Johnson. The one that they didn’t even interview. Unless there’s some new report about Ben Johnson that I haven’t seen circulating yet.
-
Had have retained him for 2 seasons to qualify for it.
-
Now let’s get Tilis in to partner with him and let Dan work
-
And what if the search firm / Mike Forde back up their finding that Dan was the best option for PoFO/GM out of their pool of candidates..?
-
I like Caldwell getting involved.
-
Oh I completely understand that but under a different regime. Backup QBs are playing all the time nowadays, a competitive team could look to sure up their situation so Matt Barkley isn’t running out there week 15 to try and secure them a playoff spot, or keep playoff hopes alive. Just my perspective. Plus, contract or not I don’t want dudes just going through the motions when you’re trying to instill a new culture and scheme and stuff. If he’s gonna buy in for his little year left, sure I’m with it. But to just cash a check cause you won’t be here next year.. don’t need that
-
I figured we’d through another external in there just so there wasn’t any gray area. Probably wrong, and that’s fine with me.
-
They are good candidates as well, ngl. he was a HC like over a decade ago at 33 years old. He had a short interim stint in '21 but I don't really hold interim stints in high regard good or bad. Morris would be a great HC. Every single person teams want to emulate are literally endorsing this man and our podunk fandom want's to poo him as a candidate... lol what.
-
I've mentioned that with some other folks over on the former bird app. If your HC is spending time trying to "fix" your QB they are spending less time being the HC. OC/QB coaches job to get the most out of your offensive players. That's why I never believed we needed an OC to pair with Bryce. We just need a good coach.
-
Speculation on everyone's part. Mentioned wanting alignment and connected the dots between all the candidates for HC/GM and ran with the notion the HC is going to hire the GM or whatever.
-
Yeah I was surprised they didn't interview him for the job in Seattle.
-
Keep Dalton if he wants to stick around forsure. These veteran dudes might not want to stick around for a rebuild that’s my only reasoning for saying take a late round flyer. But you never know.. hire dependent I suppose.
-
If we were in position to realistically push for the division, immediate help is nice. Next year is going to be a down year, no point in a 1 year stop gap. A later round QB doesn’t stop you from drafting one high in 25 if the need arises. Use the cap and draft capital to build the core of the team. No 1 year rentals unless we have prospect of keeping them longer term later.
-
Rookie would be more prudent depending on the draft position. Unless you can get one of these guys on super cheap deals it’d be a better investment to use the cap improving the OL/WR room
-
I’d take a flyer on him as well. I think Dalton might be moving on as well. No reason to have him tag along a true rebuild
