This is a self fulfilling prophecy though. Your QB is going to struggle even worse when the defense is all sat within 10 yards of the LOS including the S because they already know you're running short routes and the exact same short routes at that. When PJ came in the Giants were literally running over and into each other trying to compete for Interceptions because they knew what was coming. They stopped their own selves from getting picks. That was with a different QB but they still were jumping the play... Not convinced that's what is happening anyway though but I'm not going through those shitty ass games again I already did looking at Darnolds mechanics on our passing plays.

This can't be true when they throw the ball 49 times. They have done anything but try to limit the offense or take the ball out of Darnolds hands. On this note too i'm starting to pay more attention to the Drew Brees type comments about our schemes being college schemes though as numerous people have pointed it out in the media and then Anderson on the sideline.... Yea I tried that whole positivity thing and look where it got us. I was just starting fresh and was giving all the benefits of all the doubts to be fair but the floor is actually a black hole. When he looks good he actually does look just fine but when your ceiling keeps collapsing you don't have one.

Can't really argue with any of that. I said the same thing in another thread actually about Anderson talking about the scheme and not the QB. Then they throw the rock all over the yard after saying we need to run the ball. Also our only 3 points came from a 4th down conversion too so it took even that to muster any sort of a fart at all.

One thing we did find out about this offense though is that we have no one that is the step up type. Not a single one.

Rewatching all the games(at least the offense) it's actually his mechanics. If you listen to what the one good announcer we had - Mark Schlereth - said in the game and then pair it up with our pass plays you'll see Darnold throwing sometimes without even stepping into the throw at all and other bad mechanics. And yes this is even when they have time and if you watch the Kurt Warner and JT O'Sullivan break downs just in general to learn about why the QB does what you can actually start seeing some of the issues other than the easy to see throwing off the back foot stuff that anyone can see. He just can't catch. He has been hitting the holes with burst and if we ever actually stuck to the run. OFC that would mean run blocking...entire office is just trash. In terms of talent he actually is better at his position than any interior OL we have is at theirs. He even got sacked by his own OL which may be a first in NFL history and I don't mean the OL tripped up or otherwise ran into the QB he straight up literally sacked Darnold once.
