    I saw in one thread where someone was saying that Smitty may convince Torrey not to come to Carolina but I think the opposite could be true...I think having played with Smith could make him want to come him. I do think Torrey Smith is a bit too inconsistent though and he tends to disappear for games at a time.

    Exactly, I'm in total agreement and even Hardy's questionable behavior hasn't even been all that bad compared to many other NFL players who keep playing for their team. I want him back too but it would be on Greg to take a smaller deal IMO...not that he has to do that or anything but I would be interested to see how things panned out if Greg actually did take a Panthers discount to stay what would happen...

    If he chooses to go elsewhere then that isn't the same as the Panthers just letting him go... Perhaps he wasn't genuine saying he wants to play here and for cheap but if he was I'd take him up on it. If he's not guilty then yea I don't really get what the problem is either...he makes questionable decisions and that would be what the front office would be worried about. Like I said he is the one who said he wanted to play here and would for cheap...if he was just talking to talk then so be it but if he really would sign here for cheap then the Panthers would be stupid to not take him up on it. If a team offers him a poo ton of money then yea he's gone but that isn't the same as the Panthers simply not bringing him back.

    If he is found not guilty we absolutely should bring him back with a contract that the team can terminate with another screw up from him...it's not hard to understand ways of making it work and other great teams actually do stuff like that. If I was hardy I'd go to Atl or Tampa to stick it to the Panthers if they didn't sign me...stupid to get rid of your best pass rusher who wouldn't have even been in this mess if another stupid player hadn't punched out his GF...going back and watching the pressers after Hardy was put on the exempt list you could tell that DG and Rivera were more pissed off at the league than Hardy....this one is coming down from JR and many of us think we won't do poo until he's gone anyway just adds more to that pile IMO. We have people playing in this league who have nearly killed people...and our first time offender on a missy gets canned....Yes I know he's a head case but if that headcase would take a low salary prove it deal then the team is a head case for not pursuing that.
