When the coaches watch film they clearly see the OL so whether we like it or not that will take precedence over QB play as anything on the offense starts with the OL and in pressers Rhule has countered any remotely negative thing about Darnold by saying "we have to protect him". They also know he was their 3rd choice so that is something else for the back of the mind.
