  1. It's LVs first home game of the year and they will likely be 0-2. First losing to a division opponent, and then going all the way to the East coast to get blown out by the Ravens on Sunday. They will be nice and pissed off when we come to town.
  2. So if we get blown out again this week. (Let's say 27-6 or 35-13) Does anything change, or is it just business as usual going to into the Raiders game.
  3. Well, I guess it's possible. I doubt it though, at least before the end of the season. When we cut ties with Bryce at the end of the season, he will probably go be a back-up for some west coast team or just stop playing all together. I could see Bryce coaching and if he really is football smart, he should. I don't think Tannehill goes back to Miami- He doesn't really fit the system McDaniel built. McDaniel has also kept Skylar Thompson around for a few years now, so he's probably the guy for this season.
  4. Herbert over/under 300 yards?- Under Bryce Young over/under 2 turnovers?- Push Bryce Young over/under 200 passing yards?- Under Score Predictions? Chargers 23 Panthers 6
  5. I think they are going to roll with Peevy as the 5th guy until Crumedy gets back for the DT rotation. As far as OLB goes, Wonnum is supposed to be back in a few weeks and Leota didn't look horrible. (Better than Johnson). I would entertain Haynes though. We have about 4.9 million. There is no telling what we may have to spend that on should we lose a ton of people down the line.
  6. Of course Icky would the be worst- Who would have thought
  7. I don't care what comes next, I just want to see a different QB. 2010 was so dreadful because I knew every weekend the offense would look like dog poo every Sunday. Last year was 2010 all over again, and as a bonus we get another season of the same crap because nobody wants to hurt the kid's feelings. I would gladly take Chris Weinke over this poo, at least he could throw the ball 40 yards. I regret being so critical of Kyle Allen. Rodney Peete was more exciting than this. This is Jimmy Clausen every freaking week.
  8. Yeah well maybe he should. Obviously the way of the last year or so isn't working.
  9. Really starting to not like this guy already, man.
  10. Canales blamed the coaching staff in the press conference for not giving Bryce more options for protection, said only 1 was Bryce's fault. I think we'll start to see that nothing is Bryce's fault as time goes on with Canales.
  11. When is the press conference today? I thought we used to have them at noon on Mondays. I want to see if it's all still sunshine and good vibes with Mr. Canales.
  12. I expected bad. But I also expected the Saints to be bad. I thought it was going to be some 16-12 or 19-14 type struggle. However, in the words of Rivera " We picked a bad day to have a bad day."
  13. They get paid the same either way, so why should they care? You only get "care" when you motivate a group of people to work towards a common goal. Contracts are moving more towards gtd money up front, less impact if you get cut. I think Bryce's contract was almost fully gtd and he got a huge chunk of it upfront in a bonus.
  14. We never really committed to the run though either. Didn't have time, turned around and down 20pts.
  15. Drew Allar- 6'5" 243lbs or Carson Beck- 6'4" 220lbs
  16. Which gives me a conspiracy theory that there was a 5% it was by design. ...The offense anyway.
  17. I'm just saying, I've never seen an athletic Bryce Young scramble in the NFL. He dodges, gets past the LOS and falls down, he couldn't even slide properly last year. Many moons ago, Dalton could move around a decent bit. He wasn't a scrambler but he could get where he needed to. Old fella should start his calf and hammy stretches this week.
  18. I would argue that Dalton (even at 36) is equally mobile as Bryce.
  19. I think the blowing the Tampa and Pittsburgh games did Wilks in. He also went super conservative and made some head scratching calls. He was better than anything we have had in a while but I think the FO thought "well if the roster is this good, let's go get an offensive guy to take the next step." What they didn't realize is Wilks and co. was game planning the hell out of everything.
  20. I don't think he's forced to keep Bryce out there. I don't think Tepper would give a poo as long as he could back it up. He's just got to make sure he can do that part. I mentioned earlier, I think Tepper has taken a step back. We really just can't see it yet because a lot of the decisions he made before he "stepped back" are still in their roles. My fear is that this keeps happening and he wants to be hands on again. I don't know if the meetings still happen though- good question. I know I wouldn't want to be Canales in there tomorrow. If Tepper lost his temper about a close Chicago loss, Tennessee loss, and Jacksonville loss, he probably won't be very pleasant. Mr. Sunshine might get some reality checking criticism.
  21. Yeah you tend to see overlaps. Like Rhule stayed and Hurney was kicked out, then Rhule got the hot seat, then back to Fitterer who got canned, now Canales/Morgan are in their new roles together and I think the hot seat shifts to Bryce. I don't think Canales gets the boot until it shows his system doesn't work with an additional QB. Bryce is the one in the hot seat now. EDIT: HOWEVER!- Canales has to be willing to pull Bryce and show that with Dalton. He can't just ride the tide with this every week or Tepper will fire everybody including the janitors.
  22. My guess is Cincinnati. Dalton starts against his "old team" and that's the local hype narrative that week.
