  1. An ACL this late in the year would probably be mid-season next year at best IMO. I really wouldn't mind drafting a big back in the 4th-6th round range. Cam Skattebo and Kalel Mullings come to mind.
  2. A real QB competition. If you think Bryce is the answer, fine. But bring in an average journeyman and prove it.
  3. He through for right at 200 yds... again. That is his ceiling. Meanwhile Drew Lock scored 5 TDs today.
  4. Darnold was better than Bryce the entire time, he just had to deal with Matt Rhule. Shanahan and O'Connell proved that I think.
  5. Blackshear starting not Boone per Panthers. We'll see how the carries split though.
  6. Caleb Farley starting for Horn at CB Chandler Wooten starting for Jewell at LB Raheem Blackshear starting for Hubbard at RB Per Panthers.
  7. I think he was going to be anyways. He will want to go to a another contender is my guess.
  8. If I recall he wasn't horrible. His PFF is about the same as Mays and Christensen. I can remember not too long ago Greg Little, Dennis Daley, and John Miller having scores that didn't even combine to that.
  9. No but if it is 43-0 as the original post used hypothetically then yes Bryce would have blame in that. Nijman has already played and did decent, and the OL hasn't really changed so we will likely get more than 12 yards. Whats more likely is Bryce going 20/39 for 178 yards and a pick because his fragile self confidence collapsed again.
  10. If we are getting blown out enough to sit Bryce, Bryce might lose his job again.
  11. Even after the 5 games he still had more zip than Bryce. Maybe it was just me but I didn't see the game arm strength he had after the Vegas and Cinci games.
  12. Hopefully all the Thomas Brown hype goes away after this. Dude was so overrated when they brought him here to be OC.
  13. I think Dalton is going to retire. He lost a lot of zip on the ball from Vegas to Washington. He looked exhausted after those 5 games.
  14. Way I see it Plummer has to be the #2 otherwise he would just be elevated not signed. They could shut Bryce down, although I doubt it. Canales always preaches how important reps are but then again you risk him getting hurt or having a bad confidence game. Who knows maybe his hamstring "flares up" and they use that to shut him down. Interesting either way.
  15. Per Joe Person Hubbard; Smith-Wade added to IR Mike Boone signed to active roster Jack Plummer signed to active roster Deshawn Williams elevated to active roster Not sure why Plummer is getting signed unless they are taking a look at him. Bryce was on injury report this week but was FP on Friday.
  16. I said 3-6 wins and got poo on for it but whatever I was right. If we can finish 5-9 wins next year it's still on the right path. This is the 1st offseason in a while I'm actually excited to see what Morgan does with more money and picks. Not being the worst team in the league also gives a better shot with some Free Agents, especially if we can get a respectable DC in here (Saleh)
  17. What’s also funny is they were talking about earlier in the week what they were going to do about Boone since he was running out of elevations. Seems like the solution was to shut down Chuba (which is smart)
  18. Unfortunately it will be Boone. I don’t understand why this staff is so big on a 30 year old who has barely rushed for 500 yards in his career. We should be giving Emani Bailey and Blackshear looks to see what we got there.
  19. Yeah there have been more that retired after leaving here than sprouted somewhere else. Example: Greg Little, John Miller, and Pat Elflein are all out of the NFL now.
  20. Without an offseason to transfer over we are already better aligned to a 4-3. Wallace would fall in the Will LB role, Jewell in the Sam LB role. We would need to go out there and find a solid Mike LB. You have your interior guys with Brown and Robinson. Wonnum and Clowney can play 4-3 DE and the DBs don't change much. The only guys left out are Barno and Johnson and we aren't missing much. This is without a free agency and a draft. It will fall in together nicely after that.
  21. Xavier Legette- I think he still has plenty of time to develop. I don't think he will ever be Top 10 in his position but I think he can grow into a very dependable WR for a long time. Jonathan Brooks- Unfortunately, I think this was a gamble more than anything. Chances are he misses next season too due to injury. I don't think he will ever be what he was drafted to be, maybe he gets healthy and is a Fozzy Whittaker type back in a few years. Trevin Wallace- Showed a lot of flashes, I think he can develop into a solid starter for a while, don't think he's going to be a Morgan, Davis, or Beason. His ceiling is probably James Anderson or AJ Klein. JT Sanders- TEs usually take a while to develop so we will see. Would still like to see us take one Day 2 this year or next to play along side him. Chau Smith-Wade- Honestly, he looks okay. Don't think he will ever be a superstar but he has made some good plays. Jaden Crumedy- I don't know, feels like a bust. I know he was hurt the first half of the season but he hasn't really gotten a ton of reps since he's been back, makes me wonder if the coaching staff is lacking confidence in him. Michael Barrett- Nice job by Morgan trading a 7th rounder straight up for Jackson. Barrett was released by the Seahawks, then signed to Cleveland's PS, and is now sitting on GBs practice squad. Nice win by the GM.
