  1. I’m going to do some research on both sides and see who’s available. I know Gus Bradley just got fired and he worked Seattle with him. Different schemes though.
  2. Miami was whiny and soft. He hurt Tua’s feelings. He seemed to be liked by most others.
  3. They said he was really really tough. Some players loved it, other like Tua didn’t. Tua said he was too hard and broke his confidence. Either way he gave them back to back winning seasons for the first time in 20 years, so it worked.
  4. Still not backing down on this one. I’m going against the grain!
  5. I'm moving Brady ahead of Aaron Glenn on the Saints job.
  6. Don't think it's a lock for Vrabel and Patriots. They already tried something similar with Mayo. They are going for the big prize on Friday.
  7. I wonder how much his wrist injury has played into it and he just don't want to use it as an excuse.
  8. Las Vegas Raiders My Prediction: Mike Vrabel Wild Card: Byron Leftwich/Bill O’Brien Comments: Mark Davis’ obsession with the Patriots is real. Tom Brady is part of ownership now and will likely have a huge say in this decision. Brady will want to establish a winning culture and bring somebody in that understands what that looks like. Vrabel is likely that guy and won’t mind Brady overstepping at times for guidance. Byron Leftwich also spent time with Brady in Tampa and could have that relationship with him as well. Brady was close with O’Brien but I see this as a longshot. O’Brien appears happy at Boston College and the only program I see him possibly trading that in for is New England. New Orleans Saints My Prediction: Aaron Glenn Wild Card: Joe Brady Comments: Glenn and Brady both spent time in New Orleans but have been gone long enough to be a breath of fresh air. Glenn would help them fix their defense which is likely to see a ton of turnover this offseason. Joe Brady would likely energize the fanbase due to his success their and as the Offensive Coordinator for LSU during their championship run. New Orleans refuses to part ways with their identity established in the mid-2000s by Loomis and Payton. These guys bring enough of that familiarity but are still “outsiders” enough to make an impact. Chicago Bears My Prediction: Brian Flores Wild Card: Pete Carroll Comments: The Bears have a culture problem- Flores and Carroll can both help. Flores can win the lock room quickly and the Vikings lose their DC which is a win-win for the Bears. Carroll is interviewing with the Bears, but does he really want to take this on so late in his career? We will see. New England Patriots My Prediction: Ben Johnson Wild Card: Bill O’ Brien Comments: The Patriots are going to offer the keys to their crumbling kingdom to the most sought-after candidate this decade. With a young QB in Drake Maye, a ton of cap room, and full support from Kraft, he will be able to shape the offense into what he wants. Bill O’Brien has not confirmed an interview yet and is rumored to be happy at Boston College. However, can the Boston native really pass up an opportunity to coach his former and hometown team? New York Jets My Prediction: Rex Ryan Wild Card: Mike Vrabel/Ron Rivera Comments: Cleaning up this mess is not going to be easy and is likely going to take a strong personality who has coached before. Dealing with Johnson, Rodgers, Wilson wanting out, etc. Who would want this job? Well somebody with something to prove. All three candidates above have already interviewed and have established a winning culture at some point in their career. I think Vrabel gets bypassed in New England but manages to land a HC role this year. There is a chance Tom Brady recruits him to Las Vegas, so who better to bring in than the old Head Coach they have had the most success with the last 20 years or another similar personality in Rivera. Whether Vrabel lands here or Vegas, I would almost bet my net worth that Ashton Jeanty gets drafted there to replicate his success in Tennessee with Derrick Henry. Jacksonville Jaguars My Prediction: Kellen Moore Wild Card: Robert Saleh Comments: Jacksonville is probably the 2nd least desired job on the market since Trent Baalke will be retained. There is a chance that Saleh decides to take another shot at the HC role, especially to fix the 31st ranked defense but he would be wise to take a Defensive Coordinator role with a contender for a couple of seasons for the sake of his career (FYI his old job in San Francisco is open). Moore has been around a little while and seems to always be in the mix. Let’s be honest, they aren’t getting Ben Johnson and Moore is the most experienced offensive guy on the list. Per me.
  9. They will pick the Titans and whoever they draft #1 overall will be the focus. Probably Sanders. If not, they will pick Atlanta.
  10. I'd like to pair a veteran with a Day 3. You still need a veteran in the room, they will have influence that the coaches don't have. Jacoby Brissett Taylor Heinicke Carson Wentz Jimmy Garappolo Cooper Rush Josh Dobbs All Free Agents with reasonable price tags. Then get a Day 3 guy to grow into your future back up. (Maybe it's Plummer already, idk). Dillon Gabriel Riley Leonard Will Howard Somebody like that in rounds 4-6.
  11. As expected, Antonio Pierce was fired. Makes 6 openings.
  12. I wouldn't be shocked if they traded down a few and got the LT from LSU.
  13. So y'all know I'm doubling down on my Ben Johnson to New England prediction.
  14. They could take any Top 10 defensive player and I would be fine. Hell I wouldn't even argue about Will Johnson. At least it's something.
  15. If I'm not mistaken it's still mostly made up of the group that Fitterer assembled post Hurney in 2021.
  16. Wasn't he the one that kept running to Tepper's office about Bryce and his footwork and everything? Or was that one of the other ones. For some reason I was thinking the ones that got fired mid-season were the ones going over Frank and they just canned them all together.
  17. 5/10 on Canales. 7/10 on Morgan. Need to see them both with a full offseason. Don't want to hear poo next season about defense if Morgan dumps a bunch of assets into it. Evero better do something with it or I'm going to blame Canales.
  18. People forget how terrible he was in Tampa. 3-13 10-6 (No Playoffs) 4-12 Then he went 4-7 as Atlanta's interim. My guess is they implode next season, especially now that they have the whole Penix/Cousins cap situation on their hands.
  19. Morris was their interim before but he was the Rams DC for a stint because they hired Smith instead.
  20. I almost fell out of my chair when I read Baalke was still there.
  21. Daboll is safe. Stefanski is safe (or so they say) Callahan should have been fired already but probably won't be. Wouldn't be surprised if Pierce gets fired, but I think he did well enough to save his job at the end of year. There are quite a few GMs that need fired, starting with Chris Ballard and Andrew Berry. If I had to rank the current HC openings it would be: 1) Patriots- Promising young QB; FO that knows how to win; probably more adaptable to move on from "Patriot Way" than people think. 2) Jaguars- Talent on roster; easy division; nice weather; but have to deal with Baalke and Khan. 3) Bears- Ryan Poles is overrated; Chicago is almost as bad as NYJ. 5) Saints- Culture refuses to move on from 15 years ago; cap issues; stubborn GM. 6) Jets- More dysfunctional FO than Carolina
  22. I would rather have Mykel Williams than Abdul Carter tbh.
  23. Canales first big mistake. Tying your reputation to historically the worst defense ever is a real gamble. Can't blame defense next season when you had the opportunity to do something about it. Looks like we are committing to the 3-4 though.
  24. Keep in mind the Lions have lost 9 starters on defense due to injury this season, and they are still doing this.
