Does anyone know if the Panthers have done anything the past 3 days or did they just take a long weekend at the house. They haven't shared anything coach/GM related since Thursday and Friday was the last interview rumored by an insider (Rapoport mentioned Halaby)
-
They have been having trouble with that this season. Whatever happened after the Ravens game broke something. Lions fans have been complaining about this saying they haven’t played 4 full quarters of football in months.
-
Can’t wait to see you what tomorrow’s episodes.. I mean games have in store for us.
-
It wasn’t out of joy as much as arrogance complaining about every little thing that didn’t go their way and claiming it was rigged. I heard the Dallas game ref comparison like 30 times. I watched them berate a Broncos fan asking him where his team was and telling him his franchise was trash. I’m sure not all are this way but jeez. need humbling already

We are not the new lions. We have been to two SBs in the last 20 years, they haven’t done it the entire era. Not counting playoff wins, etc.
-
I have to be honest. I sat beside a few Lions fans tonight, and I really really hope this success of theirs is short lived. This was the most obnoxious football experience I’ve ever had. It was worse than Eagles, Steelers, or Cowboys fans. I’ve been to away games in Philly and Pittsburgh- sitting beside them here was worse than any of that. That fanbase don’t need long term success

I have pretty much gave up on Harbaugh or Ben Johnson coming here. At this point I don’t really have favorites. I have a list of coaches I would be fine with and a list of coaches I don’t want near the building. I guess if I had a pick a favorite with the two above off the list it would be Slowik or Macdonald. Slowik apparently controls everything for Stroud on that offense and comes from a successful tree and Macdonald just seems like a guy that’s going to have a John Harbaugh type career.

Raheem Morris losing some credibility

I believe they interviewed Steve Wilks too. Looks like they are definitely looking for the DC type. Could be ones of these guys or BB.

TPS Graded All 31 First Rounders from 2023

History says there was bound to be a bust in that Top 5. Analytics was screaming it about Bryce but nobody wanted to listen. -
After some research on Champ Kelly, I think I would pass. Guy recommended some horrible signings as Bears Director of Pro Scouting. You can go look but Garry Williams, Amini Silatolu, and Nate Chandler were 3 of them. (If you guys remember them) Bears had a 48-65 record in his time their in Director of Pro Scouting and Asst. Director of Player Personnel. Hell, he has a 14-20 record as AGM for the Raiders the last two years and their 7th overall pick is heading in the bust direction.

He's the flavor of the day. There will be empty media hype around somebody else tomorrow. -
Browns 37 Texans 17 (Browns D takes over in 2nd half) Chiefs 23 Dolphins 17 OT (Surprisingly lower scoring) Bills 19 Steelers 6 (Nasty Game) Packers 28 Cowboys 27 (Jerry Jones loses mind) Rams 31 Lions 21 9 (McVay/Stafford put Goff/Campbell in their place) Eagles 20 Bucs 17 (Bucs get screwed by the refs)
-
Uhh yeah I think I’m good.

Vrabel could pull a McCarthy and take a year off to regroup. (Which is what Reich should have done to decide if he even wanted to coach anymore). Only thing is how much of a gamble it may be. Many openings this season, and his stock may fall before next year.
-
I think it's mutually beneficial for Moore and the Panthers to stay away from each other.
-
We hired Rhule like January 7th and hired Reich the 26th (but the season was 1 week shorter). I think most GMs are hired like 15th-20th and coaches get hired a week or two after that. We probably have a GM this time next week and a HC 2-3 weeks from now. I imagine they will interview GM candidates through the weekend and multiple each day.
-
I actually feel the opposite about Wilks. I think he is a great DC but below average HC. The only reason he had "success" (6-6 record) was because he ran the ball 30 times per game and the players were relieved that Matt Rhule and his corniness was gone. People forget: Steve Wilks was dogged for being more conservative than Rivera and Fox in 2022. All the times he punted on 4th and short with Foreman in the backfield. Playing off coverage and getting picked apart all season and then getting beat over the top by the Bucs 3 times. Signing Norman and starting Keith Taylor/CJ Henderson instead. His unwavering loyalty to Al Holcombe. Better than Rhule? yeah. Better than Reich? Probably. Those are some low ass ceilings.

Personally, I think Johnson is going to Washington. He has a pick to get his franchise QB, and will be given free reign over an offense that has some key pieces already. People are underestimating Josh Harris, he will get somebody like Adam Peters and lure Ben Johnson in. I think Gus Bradley, Dave Canales, or Dan Quinn end up in Seattle. They are a sentimental fan base and I can see them bringing one of their own back.
-
Tabor got his interview today. I imagine we should be seeing more trickle through, especially since many of these teams are out of the playoffs. I imagine GM interviews will pick up as well.
-
Tabor will also interview. Likely just out of respect from the front office.
-
I don’t think so but maybe. Trading coaches is very sticky and why the Titans just decided to let Vrabel go instead of spending weeks making it work. I think it has something to do with they have to accept their new contract with the team they are being traded to or it’s voided. (I think)
-
We were actually competitive most weeks in 2001. 2010 was bad 2023 was equally as bad. I would give the tiebreaker to 2023 being the worst though because we don’t have a 1st rounder to look forward to. And despite the record, I think the 1998 season was harder to watch than the 2001 season. It was so dysfunctional. 1. 2023 2. 2010 3. 1998 4. 2001 (Despite record)

Panthers blocked Jaguars request to interview Evero for DC. Apparently Carolina plans to interview Evero for the HC vacancy. https://x.com/jfowlerespn/status/1745133973645197364?s=46
