  1. I mean I think the best case scenario has to hit for the Panthers and everyone else in the NFCS has to hit their worst case scenario. Personally, I think this is the year that NO finally collapses and I think they finish 4th in the division regardless. ATL is overrated but still likely a 6-9 win team. TB plays tough football, their defense will be there but their success depends on the offense, they too are a 6-9 win team. The Panthers are probably 4-6 wins at best. If they find some sort of momentum during the season and get 7-8 wins, and TB and ATL struggle then maybe but I find it very unlikely.
  2. Watch Terrace Marshall decide he wants to be a football player the final year of his contract.
  3. Yeah you are right but I will say this. I watched the long cut highlights of the Bucs games last year and you can definitely see a shift in their offense as the season goes on. If you go back to Seattle 2-3 years ago you see a lot of similarities. I get the feeling that the offense was still set up how Brady wanted it with personnel and a lot of people were out of scheme. The company I work for merged with another company from Florida recently so I have been forced to work with a ton of Tampa Bay and Jaguar fans (who knew Jacksonville had fans?). They really liked Canales but they thought he was trying to force a square peg in a round hole with how the team was set up. We are set up much more similar now to what he was used to in Seattle. His offense really isn’t that flashy, it’s pretty vanilla. He just throws a hellacious amount of motions and different formations out there. (I think he even mentioned this during the rookie pressers). He likes to keep people guessing on personnel sets and then gives them another whammy by going heavy PA. As far as the WRs I agree, a lot of this helps when you have Mike Evans and Chris Godwin on the field at the same time.
  4. I don't really care TBH. Dude blew the game in ATL. If I remember right he missed a FG and XP to win the game. Yeah he has been accurate but the dude really hasn't had any other pressure situations. He made the two FGs to win this year that were shorter than XPs and the one in NO in 22 that was a useless game. He's a decent kicker but not proven enough to be acting like this. I'd like to see him get cut just to get a point across in the locker room. You have a fugging unproven kicker taunting you and holding out.
  5. I think initially the plan was to build a dome when building a whole new stadium back when that was talked about early in the Rhule era. Then during Covid and the stricter policies I think Tepper told reporters that it changed the way he thought about a new stadium and referenced the nice weather in the Carolinas being another reason to rethink it. I think you only go after a dome if you build a new stadium which doesn’t appear to be happening anytime soon. The only other reason I see a dome is if the plan is to get a SB bid which I doubt would happen because Charlotte doesn’t really have the infrastructure to support that kind of event. My guess is they are just going to use the money to upgrade the hell out of the existing facilities and then add those other rumored expansions.
  6. Say what you want but Matt Ryan and Eli had Granny arms and could spin it harder than Bryce ever has. We will see when the hype wears off.
  7. My expectations are very low for XL this year. He is a rookie and traditionally we don't develop rookie WR fast. I fully expect it to be the Dionte Johnson show this year with flashes of AT. I think somebody nobody expected will come out of nowhere and grab some limelight too. Marshall? Mingo? UDFA? who knows.
  8. Man, I was so against Rhule. But you are right there were so many that were high on him. I got into so many arguments (not on here) with fans who thought he would be the guy. I actually thought Reich would be decent not good. I figured Reich would give us a string of .500 seasons or something before he got canned. First impression with Canales is he gives a a competitive season or two at some point before getting canned but its so hard to tell at this point tbh. I guess we will know after a couple of bad losses. I still had confidence in Rivera after the first season or two but I knew after a the first few bad pressers with Rhule and Reich that they were cooked. We will see.
  9. The eyes thing is a little odd and sometimes I feel like his mouth doesn't match up to the words he's saying like an old kung fu movie. He seems to have the right attitude though. The past 3 have all given me baptist pastor vibes though. Probably because Rhule and Canales' dad were both pastors and Reich himself actually was one.
  10. Yeah Canales' offense was pretty bland. He just does a really good job of hiding what he is doing with motions, formations, and making people guess at play actions. He has literally said in a press conference that their motions and formations are the pillars of what they do. He and Shane Waldron are from the same stock- check out some of the Seattle highlights too from years past, looks similar to what he did in Tampa.
  11. Good time to break the Vet QB thing down I guess. The only QBs still active from Canales' time in Seattle that aren't locked down with other teams are Brett Hundley and Jacob Easton. In Buffalo, Morgan was in their office when they brought it Matt Barkley, Jake Fromm, and Jacob Eason. Fromm just got waived and Barkley and Eason are both available. (And have been here before). Others that are a possibility- Kyle Allen (Likely cut in Pittsburgh). Blaine Gabbert, Ryan Tannehill, Brian Hoyer, Trevor Siemien, AJ McCarron, are also available. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised to see Blaine Gabbert if this is what they do. He was in KC with Tillis last year. If Tampa cuts John Wolford, he might get picked up since he was with Tampa last season.
  12. I'm too lazy to make my own format so I am stealing yours. Week 1: Sept. 8 at New Orleans (W) 17-6 Running game and Derek Carr having a horrible opener gets the win. Week 2: Sept 15 vs. Los Angeles Chargers (L) 24-10 Hype from Week 1 goes away when Harbaugh and Herbert show up. Week 3: Sept 22 at Las Vegas (W) 16-13 Complete defensive struggle but Panthers win on last minute FG. Week 4: Sept. 29 vs. Cincinnati (L) 30-13 Score is actually worse but Panthers score in garbage time. Week 5: Oct. 6 at Chicago (L) 21-10 Horrible performance by Bryce in a winnable game and even his fans start to think he's not it, press conference questions get worse and calls for benching intensifies. Week 6: Oct. 13 vs. Atlanta (L) 20-17 Running game becomes 70% of offense to help Bryce, it works but can't get job done at the end. Week 7: Oct. 20 at Washington (W) 21-14 Running game/defensive comes through; Bryce does okay. Week 8: Oct. 27 at Denver (L) 27-7 Complete offensive collapse. Week 9: Nov. 3 vs. New Orleans (L) 30-24 Saints keep shooting themselves in the foot but we provide them a turnover-fest and they come back in the 2nd half. Week 10: Nov. 10 vs. N.Y. Giants (Munich, Germany) (L) 24-6 Worse offensive performance of our season. Week 11: Nov. 17 BYE Week 12: Nov. 24 vs. Kansas City (L) 34-31 OT Dalton takes over for Bryce to try to salvage season. Plays close game; gives team a slight bump. Week 13: Dec. 1 vs. Tampa Bay (W) 28-27 Dalton has nice game. Canales beats his former team in a stunner. Week 14: Dec 8 at Philadelphia (L) 27-14 Tough crowd, tough game, run out of gas in the 4th. Week 15: Dec: 15 vs. Dallas (L) 31-24 This will be out "worse officiated game of the year." and we will all accuse the NFL of trying to get the Cowboys in the postseason. Week 16: Dec. 22 vs. Arizona (W) 26-10 Solid win by Dalton and co. Week 17: Dec. 29 at Tampa Bay (W) 12-10 Canales sweeps his former team and knocks them out of the postseason in an absolute rain fest. Week 18: Jan. 4 or 5 at Atlanta (L) 28-20 Close game but Atlanta holds us off. Panthers finish 6-11. Dalton's mediocre performance shows just how bad Young really was. Panthers start the search for the next QB.
  13. I really feel like they are a 4-6 win team. The draft really didn’t change that for me. It’s a growth year. I don’t think we are getting many wins but I think we are going to develop guys the right way and have a team to surround our new QB with if this one can’t figure his poo out.
  14. Tepper may have been influential in the first rounds but if you go back to the team’s draft footage, it was always Fitterer or Rhule telling Tepper who they were about to take and him nodding or clapping about it.
  15. Dude has great size and a literal cannon of an arm.
  16. I hope I’m wrong but I really don’t like the Legette pick. I just feel like he’s going to be a Laviska Shenault with slightly better hands. Him being a one year wonder also scares me. I think Brooks will be a Deshaun Foster type, likely a steady back for a few years. I think Sanders will be the best pick in this draft for the Panthers. Really undervalued when you watch his tape. He managed to have that much production while sharing targets with Mitchell and Worthy.
  17. Hell we already have half the Texas offense here, why not bring in Quinn Evers. He’ll be a 1st round talent
  18. Now Juan, I have noticed quite a few sexually agressive undertones in the last year. Is there anything you want to share with us?
  19. How in the living fug do you take this guy when Payton Wilson is out there.
  20. Goddamn Dan Morgan is the Marty Hurney of Scott Fitterers
  21. He has a point. Chuba is Mike Goodson level. We just don’t have anybody so he seems a lot better than he is.
  22. Well my names John Lee Pettimore, same as my daddy and his daddy before.
  23. Oh young grass hopper, that’s what Andy Dalton is for.
  24. All the people who became fans during the Rhule and 2nd part of the Rivera era are being exposed. Morgan taking us back to 2002.
