Willing to bet Marshall stays since ISM is injured. ISM probably makes the 53 and then goes on IR right after. Probably: Johnson, Thielen, Mingo, Marshall, Legette, and Moore.
-
I figure we will grab one. Problem is we are broke and the little bit we do have probably won't cover our emergency expenses down the road.
-
I think we technically drafted him as a TE.
-
I guess we seen a glimpse of what the coaching staff has seen in practice. The bar is pretty low for an Undrafted Rookie FA QB in his first few preseason games, so I really wasn't expecting much. I liked that he seemed to be better in each game. Let him sit on the practice squad for a year and go through another camp. Could be a solid back up one day.

IF we are lucky Mike McDaniel will be Dave Canales LITE

Will Legette be “red shirted” this year?
ProcessBlue2 replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean he is a rookie. I wouldn't expect a ton unless is he some Nucua type we don't know about. Benjamin had a decent rookie year but that was because the other options were Brentin Bersin and Philly Brown. It's okay if he is a rotational player his first year while he learns the NFL. However, I do expect more from Mingo since he has that year under his belt now. -
ISM getting cut for Moore is very possible considering Blackshear will probably make the roster while Brooks is on PUP plus he and Moore can return. We probably carry 4 TEs too since we won't carry a FB. (Tremble, Thomas, Sanders, Matthews). I wouldn't be shocked if Plummer made it. Not that he should but they really seem to like him a lot. Leota probably makes it while Wonnum is on PUP. Probably carry 5 Safeties since we are so zone heavy. (Woods, Fuller, Scott, Robinson, Cook) Probably just 4 CBs- again since we are so zone heavy. (Horn, Hill, M. Jackson, Jamison). Willing to bet that Dane Jackson also makes the 53 and then is put on IR right after the cut down.

Did Steve Smith influence Tepper into firing Frank Reich?
ProcessBlue2 replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Probably not. It was likely just Tepper and all the people that was rumored to have kept going to him to complain. (Which I'm not sure who it was ever revealed to be. I think somebody said Tabor or Brown?) Ultimately, I think for Morgan to have stuck around he must have been going against the grain at some point. If he just went with the flow for everything he probably would have gone with them. He had to have been right about something somewhere down the line, same for Caldwell. -
Is anyone else’s sound cutting in and out?

How long will the Carolina Panthers rebuild take?
ProcessBlue2 replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well The 2020 rebuild collapsed in 2022. The 2023 rebuild fell apart as the foundation was being built. So the third rebuild in 2024? Well, I guess we are going to find out. Ideally, we can win 5-6 games this year and Bryce can show considerable improvement. That makes us more desirable to FAs and we can use the 1st rounder on something else. However, if he is confirmed to be a bust, that 1st rounder is going to be a QB and the clock resets again. -
Panthers release 2024 jersey schedule

I just know Morgan had something to do with wearing white against the Cowboys at home. -
Projecting the Panthers' Offensive Roster

Luton on IR; I think since it's before cuts he is stuck there unless he is waived/injury settlement. -

Same reason we cut Dillon Johnson today. It's what we do. I never said these were good decisions. lol -
Idk the Saints snagged him last year right before we played them. Probably to keep him from going somewhere else and sharing all the nuances with other teams.

Inactives: Starters get the night off against Jets
ProcessBlue2 replied to Carolina Panthers's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think the starters will probably play a drive or two this week. Surely, the plan is not to sit them the ENTIRE pre-season. Give them 10-15 game reps before we start the regular season. -
I've said the last year or two that the Saints imploding is imminent. They never really had a change after the Brees/Payton era. Just kept piecing along and never rebuilding. Looks like implosion is here. Same thing happened to NE last year, only so long you can keep it limping along.

REPORT: Panthers changed the offense 3 times last season

Oh. Yeah that's not good. -
REPORT: Panthers changed the offense 3 times last season
ProcessBlue2 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Guessing 1. Original offense to start the season. 2. Changed when Brown took over playcalling. 3. Changed again when Reich was outed and Tabor took over. I don't know. Say what y'all want but I don't think the offense changes this year. I think it's gonna be "here is 10 games, show me something or Andy is coming in to save my reputation." -

Not much else to pick from. Here is our Top 25. This is how poor our WR history is. -
Our all time greats at every position
ProcessBlue2 replied to Gapanthersfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
He was very talented, when he was available. McCaffrey is hard to judge because he really didn't have much talent around him. He was 90% of the offense. So he got most of the touches but he also didn't have much support. Stewart/Williams had Steve Smith, Greg Olsen, and (for a while) Cam on the field as well. They had a supporting cast but also less opportunity than he did.
