Bryce’s best bet would be to go somewhere like Minnesota, Rams, KC, etc and be a happy back up for a several years. But he’ll end up going to Vegas, NYJ, or Cleveland to “compete to start” and end his career before the season is over.

Do they practice down field throws at practice?
ProcessBlue2 replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
Idk when I think about Brees I always remember 50+ yard bombs to somebody on middle seam or post route. -
To be fair I listen to them regularly. Dennis has always been more critical of him, but it’s always felt like he held back because he didn’t want him to 180 and then look dumb. Tim Donnelly is probably the most grounded with that group. Lea has some of the worst opinions I’ve ever heard. John Ellis and Billy are back podcasting again. Hard to go wrong with Ellis.

Trey Lance is the Anthony Richardson of Zach Wilsons.

If they put Tepper in, we will probably enter a new golden age of football because we won’t want to take it down and will be forced to stare at him the next decade.

Really needed the win against the saints, like bad. 10 games probably gets the 7th seed this year. Tampa probably wins 11-12 so division is out of question unless Mayfield gets hurt or something. Which means now, our best shot is: Beat the Falcons, 49ers, Saints. And then we need to win 2/4 between the Rams, Seahawks, Bucs, and Bucs. Possible, but unlikely. Now losing to the Saints- very unlikely.

Is Canalas losing the locker room?
ProcessBlue2 replied to Jackson113.2's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well if there was some type of order or discipline in the building the young guys probably wouldn’t have been compelled to call them out. You wouldn’t call them out if you know your coach was actually going to do something about it. It probably embarrassed DC tbh -

You might lose the ones that were talking about the ones that were slacking. The slackers win with that comment -
Hes back on PS. Probably to free up a roster spot for a different position on the active roster

If they give it to Cherelus I’m not watching

This is the week BY9 confuses us all again…

Falcons banged up so will probably happen. Chance next week because the niners are off worse injury wise, then likely going to get slaughtered by the rams -

1 TD 207 yards 1 INT, we win and everyone forgets about it. San Francisco is a close loss, but he shits the bed against LA and we spend the Bye week wondering whose starting at QB 12/14 in NOLA. -
If you can get a 2nd or 3rd (LOL) then yeah, but really you’re better off keeping him and not picking up his option. Just bring in competition, let them beat him, and move on. On the flip side I worry about the competition that will obviously beat him, getting injured, him having a false good game or two and then getting into a mess, part of me says just get him out of here and be done.

I commented on a different thread but I don’t think he’s involved at the same level. Even the media has reported it. Looking back, no wonder he was so involved with Rhule and Fitterer in the same building, I would be too. I think he backed up after 2023. Now, he probably has some type of meeting with Morgan/Canales but probably not like with Rhule, I would want to know what was going on too. I think his meetings with Rhule were probably more like a PIP meeting. You really don’t hear from him much anymore. I think if they were going to trade a certain player (Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, etc) or make a big signing they would get his “blessing” but it’s likely they have autonomy. They could probably bench Bryce and he wouldn’t veto it, he obviously didn’t before.

“Deep completions” are 20+ yards. Literally from 25 yard line to 45 yard line is a “deep completion” -

I don’t think the Tepper of recent is the Tepper of 2018-2022. He changed in 2023 after firing Reich, being seen on camera losing his temper, etc. I think the reports of him backing away is true (he’s said it himself). He’s probably involved to a point but not micromanaging. (You would micromanage too if Rhule was your HC). I think he got burned by Scott who he probably trusted so he hired that firm to put people in place and stepped back. You only see him in the background now, standing in the back of the locker room, strolling at practice, or talking on the sideline. They don’t even cut the camera to him in his box anymore, I don’t think I’ve seen that since early 2024. Now if this implodes on itself or gets dysfunctional, it’s very likely that he resorts to his old ways. Best thing for all of us is that Canales, Morgan, and Tillis figure this out so he doesn’t feel the need to “help”. Can you imagine if he was like Irsay’s daughter with a call sheet and headset on the sideline. -

And if he’s blame sharing, he’s obviously doing it to protect his confidence. Bringing somebody else in this offseason would have done the opposite -

It’s even stupider because Bryce literally does the opposite and has to scramble around to make anything happen. He’ll bail a clean pocket in a minute. Probably vision. -

I think we will see White at some point. Once they pull the plug, you can go with Andy and they may a game or two. However, I imagine you want to see somebody not named Bryce Young or Andy Dalton run your offense for once. White is competent. He’s a 30 year old, very tall, athletic guy who has started before. Has plenty of arm strength and mobility. Has had good and bad games, has won and lost games. Not the future but the perfect guy to use to measure your offense- if you’re going shopping this spring.
