We now know what we have at QB and the resources are going to be used to save him. Canales knows the system he has in mind and he knows the WR types he needs. He does not need 6-2 210 lb WRs--We have 3 (Theilen, Mingo, and TMJ, if he makes it). We need some slot guys who can get up field if necessary and some YAC guys--that is my GUESS. If so, we can get one or two later in the draft. It will become clearer after free agency and the combine, when we see who they are interested in.

It depends what mock site you use, but I think you are right. I grab one. We have Thompson returning (I think) and Luvu--and I would like to see what they do with Chinn--but yeah, we could use one.

In fairness, your therapist may have had a point. Seriously, mental health is important and should probably be more of a measured ability when scouting a player. Not to say, "That kid is crazy" but to put him through an emotional intelligence examination. I used to use them on my freshmen college students when I taught the intro course called "{College Name} Journey" We found that certain types of emotional maturity, sometimes tied to mental health, were predictors of success and failure. Maybe something like that.

I am of the mindset that BC could become the LT. Ickey to G would make us scary up the middle. Both players are good athletes. Ickey is raw, BC's arms a bit short for T---but his athleticism is unreal.

For me, it is very difficult not grabbing a C or G early. There are some studs there. But I think we get more bang for the buck going WR and CB (nobody really talking about CB---starting to think I could be wrong----nah.)

I agree 100%, but we probably diagree with how to fix it. Its happening!!!!!! 1. Campen gone. That will be the biggest improvement. 2. Ekwonu will either start getting it at LT or he will swap with Christensen. that adjustment could make us better at 2 positions. Ekwonu has the athleticism but he needs so work on his fundamentals, He was raw when we drafted him and Campen did nothing with him. 3. BC and Corbett will be back from IR. That is like adding 2 starters. Yes, our OL sucked, but have you watched to see where we were getting killed? A gap. 4. Starting guards beside Bozeman will make him better. Mays, Zavala, and Jensen need a lot of work, but one or two could become depth. We may add an OL late, but I do not see overreacting because our OL was injured, we had a rookie QB, and the system was not a good match with our talent. I 100000% agree that the OL has be good or the season is a waste of time. I just think 2022 was not bad for the OL and we added a LT. Lets develop what we have and go from there.

There are some good centers in the draft that could step in right away. Bozeman scared me last year, but hard to give him too much grief when he is flanked by those reserve guards. Bozeman did have some history at G somewhere at some point, so an internal OG/C would be nice.
