  1. but what about those that are injured? That's my point.
  2. In the 3-3-5 look, there is no need to cover the deep seam route like with the Tampa II. We just need a run stuffer. I am guessing this is that guy
  3. They change because their sources change--if you want to hear the current whispers, understand that. If you want facts, wait for the book to come out.
  4. Agree 100%. A T or a CB---if we do not sign one.
  5. My thought was that is if this issue drags out over the next several weeks, it could create doubt. I also think the Houston front office is seeing potential suitors signing QBs, realizing that the law of supply and demand is in play.
  6. So new username suggestions for poor Mr. Scot: (I know your position, and this is premature, but I could not just sit back and much popcorn while the bunch of GED totin' Panther scholars attack you like Piranhas in a Brazilian pond.) Mr. Eggonface Mr. "WhatIsaidwuz..." Mr. ScotPaperTowels(gotta clean up this mess)." I have a meeting---gotta go. Just remember, Scot--"It aint over till its over"
  7. On behalf of the Huddle, I accept Electro Horse's apology. That is all.
  8. Didn't Miami just sign a QB? Prolly to take Fitsmagic's place, so that leads me to believe they are staying with Tua--just a hunch--I know, but why trade Tua if it costs you last year's first and two more and you could have taken Fields in the draft? I think they stay with Tua--and trade back. The Panthers need to understand the landscape-is Fields worth moving up? Think streamlined Cam. I think I play that card. Give Miami 2 firsts to move up and maybe a player--
  9. They sure are going "all in" on free agents.
  10. So let's watch free agency to see if we are preparing for him---so far, I see OL depth--maybe a starting LG--but I am not happy with the picks, to be honest after a day of letting them sink in. I guess that means Trubiski is out. It does not mean drafting a QB is out.
  11. Funny--read this after my post and I referenced the same thing.
  12. Personally, I think Tepper eats babies and made the whole Covid 19 thing up because he owns stock in Pfizer. Seriously--let's dissect the logic behind such a theory: 1. You would tarnish a player's reputation before you brought him to your city to be the face of the franchise you own and paid him millions? That would be like hiring Bill Cosby to sell sleeping pills or pudding to children. Wait, um, bad example. 2. You would be helping the Texans as much as anything. If this drives down the price, they are less likely to trade him if they can now get less. 3. Having your overpaid, "predator" QB suing the owner of the team for defamation of character for damages and lost wages is not a good look either.
  13. Agree 100% and well stated. Frankly, I am skeptical and hope that this turns out to be nothing and the scoundrels behind it get their due. The timing, when he was seeking a trade, made him vulnerable to the vultures of this world who seek to extort money from those who earn it legitimately. I advocate for good people--and being accused does not make you a bad person no more than accusing someone makes you a victim. This is not to say he or anyone else is incapable, but it is to suggest that they better bring some hard, convincing evidence. I am an educator (was a high school English teacher--now an Education Leadership professor in the UNC system), and I knew male teachers who messed around with high school students and I reported them (female students came to me because I was their coach). People attacked me because they were complaining about the football coach (I was also a football coach) on a team that was undefeated the previous year. I was always aware that any female who gets a bad grade, etc. could accuse me--and once accused in education, you have to fight it (expensive) and you have to find a job in another place. The newspapers will put you on the front page and once you have proven your innocence, it is hardly news worthy so the story is buried on the back pages if reported at all. I was never accused, but always aware of the possibility.
  14. What a story this has become. I hope there is nothing to it, but if there is something to this, I do not want him.
  15. So glad we stuck it to the WFTs for culture. Seriously, we need to deal with Miami or Cincinnati to get a QB. Giving Trubiski a shot and trading back for a first rounder is starting to sound better and better---not a huge fan of the idea, but if we trade back after nabbing Trubiski, (2 years, $20m, est) we can use the 2 firsts in 2022 to grab a qb. If he works out, great. I know we want a QB now--but it is not playing out well for us at this time---looks a bit uncertain.
  16. We are going to the "Run and Shoot" people. Heard it here first.
  17. At East Western Georgia Tech State A&M Community Military College for Those who Identify Themselves as Men (The Haberdashers), Armah played some TE. I did not think he was used well here, but I was never impressed with his lead blocking.
  18. As these teams start signing QBs, it seems Houston would think, "we are losing leverage" Right?
  19. I think Ewing is going to be the OL's "sixth man" and they like Elfein as the LG. Aside from that, I think we are about to offer contracts to a goalie and shortstop next week.
  20. We should just go to the orthopedic surgery wing of the NFL Hospital (I am sure there is one) and start writing checks.
  21. I see that and we could go that direction. I think it depends on whether or not they feel Jackson can take on the #1 WRs. Hartsfield, according to Fua, played the slot some and he is the kind of athlete you want there in this defense--I can't recall it, but the secondary is not always shown on TV. I think it would be great to have Pride, Jackson and a stud on the #1-- and I see a potential need for 2 slot cbs on the roster--it is getting that wide open. I think CB will be our big signing this free agency. So let's see what happens.
