Mariota has incentives in that contract that could escalate to $20m, and that is why they can't trade him. Best to let him be cut and offer him a backup QB deal or a $10m 1-year "prove it" deal, and I am not that big a fan of those. I am at the point where we should just get that QB and go all in for a QB in the draft.

nice find--we did have a virtual meeting with him. one of those 6th rounders maybe.
-
TRY this he keeps it current as possible https://walterfootball.com/freeagents.php

Agreed. Let's hope that Cam Ewing is not their answer.
-
We should--if one is there and their should be one---Cosmi will fall, Leatherwood, etc. I just have no faith in this team to invest in the OL. I think we are having a great free agency--but I question the OL moves---if they like them, they may think with Scott, Ewing, and Daley, LT is covered. Man I hope not.

I am going with Rondale Moore (not kidding) WR Purdue or Wyatt G Ohio State. I am assuming that we sign a CB tomorrow or the next day, but if not, a CB from KY or Northwestern.
-
Make this deal and close up shop. We can get the rest in the draft.
-
Yes--now you don't have Jackson or Pride on the #1. They get better as they take on lesser WRs. So signing 1 player makes 3-4 players better.
-
This is a great signing for about $2m per year. I hoped we would get a #3/4 WR in free agency--- If we knew the QB situation, we would be sleeping better.
-
Gonna start for the WTFs in 2021.

He played outside a lot, caught 35 balls. Good at contested catches. We should add another, but this is a solid signing. Hope you agree. $? important. 26 years old---hope it is for more than 1 year
-
Caught 35 balls this year, 6 TDs. Not bad as a #3 / 4 WR
-
Seriously, I wanted Rondale (sp) Moore out of Purdue in round 2--but I guess 3 moores at WR is too much.
-
Took a cheap shot at you in the prior post of mine on this thread.

We are going to draft DJ Moore in the second round. Our WRs are going to sound like Snow's love companions in the throws of what he calls "passion."
-
If the $ is good, and i expect it is for a WR, this is a good signing. We keep drafting players from colleges I have never heard of... Seriously, a young guy with some skills.
-
Dang. I am starting to think that you are behind this---just to keep certain huddlers off your case. Seriously, they had this bullet in the chamber for a while. It sure seems as if they decided to fire it now, which means ?? I wonder if they (Texans) had knowledge of this and threatened to release it if... I have been in meetings all morning. I need to catch up on my reading.
-
trade a sixth rounder for Mariota before they cut him, move up to draft a QB.
-
Hearing Mariota might be cut.....Still think we have to draft a QB unless this Watson cloud thins out.
-
Tall CB with some age---Safety?

There is concern, not rush to judgement. When you say "literally everyone" you lost me. It suggests that you are "literally exaggerating" to sound superior and smarter than everyone else. What you are really saying is, "I was the only person who ...and you were all wrong." After that, you laugh at others' opinions (lol) or the version of them you determine to be true. And much of the rest did not make much sense, and by that time, I realized what I was reading.

As men, we are larger in most cases and we are stronger by nature. With that comes the responsibility not to use that power to subdue or control others. If your reasons were true 50% of the time you would have a point but since they are rare, you have no point, just issues.

Any word on Trubiski? I am wondering if the Watson situation might cause more demand for him--
