  1. I am responding before reading the rest of the thread---nice topic and I agree--especially if that QB would be the fifth QB taken in the draft. The stats that show a 21-year-old QB coming in and saving an organization with many holes and needs indicated that the odds of becoming a bust are LIKELY. The fact that a few vets will "shake out" is probable. Some simply need a new scenerio and more support. If we build a good OL and add a solid TE, for example, any QB that everyone calls a bust (Darnold, Minshew, Goff, etc. stand about as much of a chance of becoming legit here as a FCS QB with 1 year under his belt would. I encourage open minds--if you think Darnold sucks, he may---but his coaches and supporting cast was abysmal. Give him a line, some WRs, a CMC---things might have been different.
  2. MHS Predicts: So here is how this baby is going down: MARK MY WORDS! 1. Lawrence QB Jags 2. Wilson, QB Jets 3. Jones, QB, 49ers 4. Pitts, TE, Falcons (don't call me crazy--he would keep Ryan young for another year or two) 5. Panthers, Fields, QB (trade) 6. Broncos, Lance, QB (trade) 7. Lions Chase, WR 8. Bengals Sewell, OT 9. WFT, Parsons, LB (trade)
  3. I care a bit. Its not a good look.
  4. Well that stings. You know, until the Roger calls out the Jets pick, I would remain humble. You guys are notorious for having blank, shocked looks on your faces after the pick is announced.
  5. Now think about this, gridiron scholars: Trask had a bad bowl game, but most of his offensive weaponry bailed on him. Is some team gonna roll them for him? Could be be the sixth first round QB? Seriously--we need to take a peak at the unloved veterans, the QBs left behind. Minshew, Garappalo (NE), Darnold, and Goff if they take one at #7. Imagine taking a T and CB in the draft and not worrying about a QB? We have the cap room...
  6. I think you have to wait until we see what Atlanta does. We may not want to move up for Lance.
  7. he processes quickly, he fits their system. When on the big stage, he produced. Why not? Lance is POSSIBLY the most overrated QB in this draft, and I think he could be good if developed properly.
  8. Those trembling lips--such realism. How did you know? I wonder if my true identity has been compromised.
  9. If this means Miami at #6 (Philly's spot) is not taking a QB, nor is Cincy at #5, then Atlanta and Detroit are our only obstacles, barring no trades.
  10. This reminds me of another Jones going early in the draft, way earlier than people thought.
  11. I been telling you nice lads that Jones is in play. You poo'ed me. Poo'ed me I say. Well, who is pooing now?
  12. This could be a blessing---wonder if the fans that drafted Mitch Trubiski were elated after the trade up?
  13. I see SF taking fields--more durable than the frail Garrapolo. Lance? Not as durable. They are tired of injured QBs
  14. Don't poo me for this, but a T or stud CB in round 1 and trade up for Jones in late round 2 (if he falls) is possible. Some say Lance will fall.
  15. You ever heard of "between the hedges?" (that's all I got)
  16. QBs taken later could be good--Dak, Wilson, Brady, Brees, Carr, Cousins---it could be a good move. He has the skills--just needs consistency etc.
  17. Perhaps, but not intentionally. I think I am going to start combing she/he/and it to cover my bases. S/H/IT
  18. Thought this was about me--college (self-proclaimed) nickname. (nobody called me that, but I tried to get it to stick)
  19. And on this day, "Jaguar" becomes a verb to substitute for another verb that is also used as a noun, adjective, and somehow, a preposition.
  20. Do your homework on Hudson--head case? https://theathletic.com/1134683/2019/08/13/coach-called-me-a-liar-mom-michigan-cincinnati-remain-at-odds-in-the-james-hudson-saga/ Smith is not a second rounder, imo. I think he will end up as an NFL G. The second round LTs are not without flaws---Leatherwood maybe?
