  1. I think there will be some trade movement in the top 10, but nothing until #5. That could trigger some dominoes.
  2. That is the question. I think there is a chance Icky could be there--take him. Thibodeaux (sp?) could be there--I don't take Cross there. Still, I think they are in a position to take a QB regardless---they are not going to take a T and throw away another season on Darnold. They are talking him up because he is the starter and they might include him in a trade (speculation). We are taking Willis, Pickett, or Corral, in my opinion--and I cannot think of any player beyond Hutchinson or Neal that might change that.
  3. I think 6 is way too high for him. position inflation (as with QB)
  4. The reason I think this needs to be discussed is because Howell is a local product that was once considered a top QB prospect (after 2020) and is now looking like a second rounder--if you go by the media. Some say that he is a poor Man's Baker Mayfield, others think that he is a sleeper who will become a starting NFL QB. The reason this is significant: If he is that sleeper pick, we could trade back and grab him. However, there may not be a more important Pro Day to date for any player. I personally think Howell will do very well and increase his stock value--creeping into the end of the first round (I think he could go anywhere from the Steelers at #20 to Detroit at #32 or #34.) Of course, a bad pro day could cause his stock to drop into the late second/early third round. Forget about which college you pull for--nobody gives a sh!t. Base this on the player. Don't focus solely on 2021 film--take a look at 2020 as well. After his pro day, it will be interesting to see where you think he will go. Could the Panthers take him if they trade back? How much worse is Howell than Pickett? Corral? etc.
  5. Do we know this? I really don't know, but Rhule may try to intervene on draft day. I am guessing that--if I were owner--I would have called him in and threatened to fire him if he did not agree to relinquish personnel decisions.
  6. That makes it complicated--and why they probably won't "sell the farm" this year for a QB. Some think MT is terrible, but I think he needs the right system- Pittsburgh is a nice fit for him, IMO
  7. I have some insider information on Larry Brown...The Redskin team doctor then had a son I used to be very closed friends with---the doctor's name was Gabe Mirkin and his son was named Gene. Gene told me that Larry Brown used a lot of cocaine, so bad that he "burned up" his nasal passages. It was kept secret for a long time---Gene is now a doctor in Annapolis MD Did this have anything to do with his career? Maybe, maybe not.
  8. I just think they are really being transparent and desperate--that can't be a good thing on draft day.
  9. You pretend to know his habits. You do not. He reportedly has been alcohol free since before July 2021. What information do you have? I provided a direct quote from Corral about being alcohol free. Can you call him a liar? THE QUOTE: "I don't know why," Corral said. "I got tired of feeling like that. Just tired of making excuses. I got tired of having vices for my problems, like drinking. It f---ed with me. I don't even drink anymore." https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/ole-miss-matt-corral-faced-a-reckoning-head-on-allowing-a-team-leader-to-emerge-on-the-other-side/ Or you can spread crap from a TMZ episode a few years back...
  10. It is SO refreshing to see an intelligent post by someone who has the acumen to support an opinion with facts and concrete reasons. I wish others would take note. The QB position is evolving and Corral has the skills and experience to run the RPO in a high-powered offense. With a good running game and improved OL, he could become very special.
  11. He is big and tough to move. Nice call.
  12. Would have won that fight were it not for that dame. Shoulda taken Mick's advice.
  13. yes, especially if Willis goes second. With Atlanta at 8 and Seattle at 9, someone will leapfrog the Panthers. Heck, houston can get in on it too.
  14. I think its that damn hot girlfriend of his. "Women weaken legs." Heard that from a professional boxing trainer one time.
  15. Just to make sure that we don't live in the same neighborhood, can you provide your zip code?
  16. I was interested-apparently Buffalo was "revamping" the defense and signing big money Von Miller--so if he has the desire, a 1 year contract with Star would be a good signing.
  17. I see your logic and think you are right-I think that is what the panthers are thinking. Haynes and Luvu flashed in 2021 with many fewer reps than Reddick at that position. They combined for 4.5 sacks. That is almost the same rate of return we got from Reddick. I think Fitterer said they are counting on them to step it up with more playing time---if we are going on 2021 stats, if you doubled their time on the field in the absence of Reddick, that would be 9 sacks between the two. If Burns steps up and Ioannitis can give us some inside pressure--we could be better off than in 2021--theoretically
  18. "I don't even drink anymore." "I made a promise to myself I was going to be different," he added. "I was always doing something for other people." ---Matt Corral, July 21, 2021.
  19. If all that Zod speaketh is truth, then I would sayeth that it is rather certain that we will grabbeth a QB on April 28. And so it was written.
  20. I personally think he is the sleeper here--had he had 2020 in 2021, he'd be in the top 10 discussion.
  21. To be honest, I secretly want Willis, but understand that he could be a bust--I logically want to win now and that makes Pickett my choice---but I do not want to see 2 fumbles per game as BC is bull rushed into his blind side. Corral--I think he is quietly the most stable, has extensive experience in the RPO etc. And he took a Mississippi team and they won offensive shoot outs. That offense averaged about 30 pts a game. So I am torn and just going to sit back and watch the show.
  22. That was my first thought--however, Corral has not been given the hype and press the other 2 QBs received, and maybe they have them rated about equal? Who knows, but you are right--hitting at QB is so difficult, you don't compromise to add a second or third rounder--only if your preferred QB is the third QB on most other boards.
