  1. Good math--all he can do is make them--all 167 of them. Shows concentration--attention to detail. If you had 167 one foot puts, would you make all of them?
  2. his college stats (never missed an XP)
  3. I had a concussion in high school--vomited for 2 hours, amnesia for 3 days. I turnt out jest find.
  4. First game, who knows? They always bother me.
  5. Not always, but if a player has a good situation going, he is going to avoid hitting free agency and take the safe money. Waiting can lead to injury and although there could be a bidding war, there may not be (see Boston, Tre). Secondly, success means the guaranteed $$ is not all you get (as might be the case in new surroundings). While I see your point, in the long run, staying put means you know what to expect--moving on could be great or tragic. Getting cut loses money, so the safe move is to stay put and take less money (more guaranteed). Just my thinking.
  6. they are going to kick a field goal the wrong direction. Heard it here first.
  7. I do not think I wouldn't trust nobody who don't know how not to use a double negative.
  8. why keeping your own is a smart move--costs less--and these players are known commodities. If you bring in an all pro from Dallas, for example, he may have been a good scheme fit there or had complimentary players that made him better. For example, Dak Prescott is good with a stud OL, but here, would he be as good? What about LBs that played behind a stud DT tandem? You pay top dollar for a performance that was enhanced by conditions you can't recreate.
  9. I say this--if you want to sound smart, stop using double negatives. Damn multi GED taker.
  10. You are spinning my point. Yes, Reddick over DJ IF he has a good year. Reddick is on a 1 year deal. We have DJ for 2 years. Reddick, from the perspective of the GM, is the most pressing issue. Of course it is based on performance--I never said do it now, I said don't do Moore now.
  11. I am optimistic. I think the OL fears are overblown, but there is a genuine concern. we need 1 more year and it should be on C, G, and LT (unless we figure it out this year). MLB is a worry, but with a heavier Carter and Luvu there, I am OK for now--DTs need to keep them free to roam. Every team has a weakness or two. We are now in the conversation.
  12. Reddick will be 27 next month. He is on a one-year contract. If he and Burns play well, he will want a contract and we will want to keep him. Put your money on the edge rusher in his prime; he is very versatile, nice fit for what Snow is doing. DJ, on the other hand, has year 4 (this year) and year 5 (2022). He has solid depth behind him (Marshall, ShiSmith) and Anderson across from him. No rush to sign DJ. We could get by without him, but to lose an edge rusher in his prime to fill the WR cup to the brim does not make much sense. I like DJ, but you have to step back from your emotions. Reddick is the answer. And Jackson? No. He is good, but Taylor is the next CB across from Horn. And not many people are saying so, but the light seemed to come on for Stantly Thomas Oliver III. Throw in Harsfield, Bouye, and Pride, we are OK at CB. Let him go. I like the person and his sense of humor, but its business.
  13. We can keep him for 2 seasons at a bargain, so maybe they want to see what Marshall can do before they lock him up--different type of players (Moose/Smitty comparisons) but with Shi Smith showing promise, do we pay DJ in this offense? I am not 100% sure that is our biggest need--Burns needs money, and Reddick is a stud athlete. Forget Jackson.
  14. Possibly, but if you want to send a message, this would be the time. I am beginning to think that Perryman likes money, does not care that much for football. Only about $1m of his 2 year, $6m deal is guaranteed. Just Gave his $$ to Anderson, if I had to guess.
  15. Lotta dead cap space dropping off the books. Keep Anderson here for 3 more seasons and send him on his way-- For those of you who say this gives Moore leverage--No letting Anderson walk after this season gives Moore leverage. We can keep Moore for 2 more years at a decent salary--three if you get spendy. Maybe they want to see what Marshall and Shi Smith have before paying Moore. I think this was smart.
  16. We have 2 games of good film, and we know what teams have logjams at certain positions. If we are bringing in a K, it needs to be now. I also wonder if Charlton's hold is not still the problem--i doubt it--but it had to be said dammit!
  17. He was still living here a few years ago. I got behind him in traffic. He was in a red 65 mustang, and he had a vanity plate that said Kasay 4 on it.
  18. Are you suggesting that he return to the Family Stone?
  19. Second highest salary for a K in the NFL, behind Tucker.
  20. I was just teasing a bit, but I hardly think stadiums are destroyed by turf and field seats (although i do not understand the seats--you cant see anything.) The grass is something that you can work to your advantage; thick grass slows fast teams, etc. You are a tough sell--that is for sure. From the practice facility to Fitterer to toying with the idea of a new state of the art stadium, I like what Tepper brings.
  21. So we have to be careful and not overreact with ignorance like Catsfan before me. Every injury is not to be blamed on the grass. You have to look at the whole year and compare with the last few years at BOA. Then do some advanced math (for some) and see which had fewer injuries. Then you can start to investigate that hypothesis.
  22. If Sam gets hurt, we should punt on first down.
