  1. Interesting. There are only 3 college centers worthy of drafting, IMO--and 2 on day 2 or later. I thought it was pathetic that he said he could not go to a Hornets game (due to the booing). Then he tried to downplay the fans' concerns by referring to how he was booed at Baylor for going 1-13 but turned it around. At least he has some idea of where our patience threshold is now-
  2. I just posted about that-where is that coming from?
  3. Rhule said something that stuck in my head a bit--he mentioned that BC can play all 5 positions--but he only played 4 this year, to the best of my knowledge. Then he mentioned the word "Center" a bit later. Did I miss BC playing Center?
  4. I have been selecting your fourth and fifth rounders in my 7-round mocks.
  5. Mond is the example I was looking for---that is about what I thought.
  6. I want to know more about Zappe. What is your opinion on Ridder?
  7. We are going to draft Bailey Zappe by trading up into the third round. I heard that nowhere, but you have now heard it.
  8. Just 2 times--daytime and nighttime. Whoa-hey now! Kidding. You are usually spot on. I have not noticed the asshole thing--but I usually just read the ideas and spend less time worrying about who says what. Except there are a few real dickheads on here--when I see their names, I usually don't read what they have to say because they are close minded and antagonistic.
  9. Interesting insight---I am processing it, but I think you make a great point.
  10. A few times he lost his feet because the LG was blown back into his legs--I think he would be OK if he has a stud, intelligent LG beside him.
  11. because Horn went down. Those trades could have been for OL.
  12. Brady has good feet and gets good arm extension at times. He needs some lower body strength to lock down the bull rushers, but the speed rushers are not that effective against him. So Brady's issue is legs, not arms--and he can fix the leg issue this offseason in the weight room.
  13. He would have cut Sam Mills. Seriously-as a player, I imagine that he was told things like, "you are too small, too short, too slow, etc." He now applies these idealistic measurables to players and it is blinding him.
  14. With his comments about Slater's size and BC's arms, seems he is trying to fill ideal molds rather than put the best player in the position that they can play. Wonder if he suffered from Napoleon complex as a player and is not fixated on measurables. He needs to drop the tape measure and pick up the game tape.
  15. Yeah, if Horn had played this season and had 4 picks and made the pro bowl, nobody would be questioning the pick-we were terrible at CB last year-short memories.
  16. Until I hear a vote of confidence from Tepper, I would say that this is unresolved. It is unlikely they move on from Rhule, but Judge getting fired after 2 seasons raised some issues about 2nd year coaches---maybe?
  17. He's an all pro waiting to happen. It is possible that he is the first OL taken and he never reaches us at 6.
  18. Ekwonu can play LT or he could move inside to G. Better than Travelle Wharton, but with the same position flexibility--and it is important if BC can play LT. Imagine Ekwonu and Moton on the right side---I think we could get a yard on 4th and 1. This pick would give BC a safety net if he does not work out at LT. Furthermore, we'd upgrade 2 positions if BC can play LT, but we would not have neglected LT yet again if we have to move BC to LG. I hope this is making sense. We know we have Moton at RT and we know that BC is penciled in as a starter somewhere. Ekwonu gives us a margin of error if BC fails. If you draft Cross, BC goes inside that's that. If you draft Neal, again, you have to move BC inside, and he was not that great (when I watched) as a G. Linderbaum is an option as well if they think BC can play LT---but there is no margin for error. This was rambling but I just see more scenarios / options if we draft Ekwonu and dedicate to the run game like so many successful teams are doing lately (Tennessee, SF, Indy, etc)
  19. New Nickname for Rhule that some may not get (I am out there at times): The Dope of Dopamine. Not an effective strategy to motivate a young coach. Not effective. Using Rhule's theory, we should all threaten to fire him every day---oh wait.
  20. I appreciate the post/thread. When Fitterer said, "When Rhule asks me for my input, I'll gladly offer it." That not only distanced him from the mess, it also may have been a statement about including the GM. Could be reading too much into it, but I thought the comment was odd compared to my impression of how it should run. It is like the scouts report to Rhule, not the GM, and the GM is out of the loop.
  21. about Okam---while we had the #2 rated defense, we also were #20 vs. the run. Not sure that Nixon or Haskins developed like they hoped. We were playing Fox and YGM inside a lot---I dunno--a scapegoat? Maybe.
  22. And THIS is why I am glad you are back with us---nobody knows the coaches etc. on all teams like you.
  23. They are on record saying they have to "invest" in the OL. The rest is speculation--but they have not said much about QB...(That I have heard).
