  1. Including Vonn Bell? I have not seen that deal. I have not seen the Shaq deal either.
  2. if anyone is watching NFL network, is the background music when they are showing highlights too loud? I can't hear the narration--wondering if it was on my end only.
  3. that is what the Browns paid their center and they were fairly equal
  4. Yeah--I was thinking Vince Young at worst, Cam Jr. at best.
  5. I would take Garrett Bradbury (28) from Minnesota over Bozeman, but Bozeman did play well for about a half season or so for us. A former first rounder who had a decent season last year (injured late). I think it is interesting that Pocic (Cleveland) also 28, just signed a three year, $18m deal--$6m per and he is rated higher than Bozeman. Going by that, the Panthers probably offered him $6 and he wanted $10-he is probably getting $6m.
  6. This is great news for us. I am getting fairly stoked over this free agency, the more I read about the defense we will run--I am still pretty ignorant about it, but it seems we have studs where we need studs--a bit concerned about LB depth, but that is about it. Bozeman and Foreman are not irreplaceable, so if I was them, I would call my agent. I am not a fan of re-signing 1-dimensional running backs. I would offer Bozeman $7.5 and Foreman $3. Take it or leave it. If Bozeman walks, move Cade Mays to center and let Elf back him up. If we can grab a WR in free agency once the price drops, we can find one in the draft--hopefully, we can add a TE and be OK.
  7. Looks like we are waiting on Bozeman and Foreman and, after signing these two today, I am not sure how much more we can do, saving $10m for draft picks. Lotta unknowns right now. However, it looks as if we can enter the draft needing QB, WR, TE, and depth.
  8. Looks as though the Panthers are going defense in free agency--a front end and back end player. I am interested in this addition because it could mean that we will not need 3 CBs as much--our CBs are rather fragile. As for those of you talking about the weight of DT Shy Tuttle in a thread entitled, "Panthers sign Vonn Bell" bless your hearts.
  9. If we take Young, I will understand why and support the move--but Stroud--in a clean pocket is tough to beat. But to be fair, most QBs suck under pressure.
  10. which was part of the intended humor--must not have delivered it well.
  11. There seems to be a lot of them in free agency and the draft is pretty deep at C. Supply/Demand
  12. I don't like getting my football knowledge from Braveheart.
  13. I would argue that we kept the wrong DT...
  14. Some would argue that if you haven't heard of a DT, it is because he is doing his job.
  15. He is from NC (N. Davidson HS) went to Tennessee
  16. We have been rather aggressive, but I think young WRs to develop with a young QB is probably better. Gonna be Chark, in my best guess.
  17. Really? I heard that he has not discussed $$$, but that makes sense. We may have find TEs, Cs, and all other players in free agency, then maybe move up from 39 to grab a WR in the draft. We shall see--I love this drama--hooked on it.
  18. Some statements that I need to make: 1. Cade Mays was listed on some depth charts as our #3 Center. We have not cut Elflien. Is that plan B? 2. Is Aaron Rodgers so starved for attention that this is necessary? What a friggin narcissist. I bet his teammates hate him. 3. How would you feel if Odell signed here? I think it would be a distraction, but he has talent. I mean, Steve Smith was a distraction, if you think about it.
  19. Do we not have about $10m from Moore and another $??? from Shaq--so it could be about $35-40? I do not get into this stuff, but if we spend a lot on a potential #1 WR, I dunno.
  20. Another thing that people are not talking about with DJ Moore--he seemed to quit at times. He got frustrated. He broke off routes when he knew the ball was not going to him, but the purpose of that route was to pull the S over---that causes an interception. How often was that happening? So Moore had some problems that should not be forgotten.
  21. Look at it this way--would we have been given a first rounder for DJ if we traded him? No. However, a 2025 first rounder is the current equivalent of a 3rd rounder--so from that perspective, the bears did well. I mean, to give up your best WR and a late 2nd rounder for a franchise qb (in theory) for 2023 is worth it. Next year, we should have a ton of cap room, so we can hit free agency for a splash player if we need one. After that, in 2025, we will want that first rounder. So I am OK with this deal--would you have done the same in 2011 for Cam Newton?
