I am too. I am also a bit shocked that this is not the biggest--if not the biggest---issue after QB. I look at the #39 pick as one where, if you need an edge rusher, you have to take him there. This draft is deep at edge and a round-1 talent will fall into the second round. Next, you have to go CB. We simply cannot have Henderson and Taylor out there running around like me the first time I played Madden.

I see both QBs being successful in the right system. My position is based on what QB is the best fit considering our staff, OL, WRs, defense, and game plan. Just about all of those are basically unknown right now--new staff, new defense, new offensive philosophy, new WR room, and even our OL--with two guards healing--is unknown for now. Anyone who claims to know the best QB for the Panthers is lying.

I have seen Kincaid from 15 to 45--I am guessing he is long gone by the time the first day ends--however, we don't know. At 39, I would take him in a heartbeat.

That is striking. Love the white helmet and the shoulder stripes. Pretty damn awesome in my view.

Personally, I can't understand why the Patriots went away from this....

It could be worse:

I would love him, but if we trade up, we lose our chance to grab a player at a position that is loaded this year--a position of greater need--edge. Currently, we have Burns, Haynes, and Barno. YGM is not a 3-4 Edge; neither is Luvu as his primary position. At WR, we have Chard, Thielen, TMJ, Shenault, and Smith--2 to 3 of them, in my opinion, would be best from the slot. I think we add a WR late or go with 6-5 Preston Williams as the sixth, but the need (on paper, anyway) does not seem to be as great. Flowers is a weapon, but the lack of WRs has him floating up to the first round, when he is probably a second rounder in most drafts.

So what I get from this thread is this: 1. We need a CB 2. Chinn is a good player that we are going to have to be creative to use properly. 3. We need more help on the edge (OLB) 4. There seems to be some confusion about YGM and how he will be used. 5. Luvu will be moved around, but his position seems to be ILB and not OLB/Edge. 6. It would be nice to see LB Smith and Edge Barno step up.

I just wondered, "Were you breastfed properly?" "Did your parents take your Gerbil to run free on the family farm, only to be never seen again?" "Did the person in front of you have more than 15 items in her cart and management at Harris Teeter did nothing about it?"

Folks, I think this has to be defense. I doubt we go WR because WRs suck in this draft after the first round--in our area of need. We signed 2 free agents....TE? Well, we restructured Ian, Tommy is developing, and we signed a veteran. Not seeing that, unless a stud drops to us (kincaid). We need to fill holes on defense--specifically, at edge/olb. We need another CB to backup Jackson and Horn and play nickel and keep Henderson's role limited. I say the #39 pick should be edge--the draft is loaded with edge talent this year. Fish when the fishing is good. We'd have Burns, Haynes, Barno, and the new rookie--that is not great, but a solid rotational OLB/edge would be great, since free agency is not where you go for help. (I do not think YGM plays OLB/edge--think he becomes a pass-rushing DE, but he and Luvu could step into the OLB/edge role in certain situations.) Id like to see us sign a CB like Shaq Griffin so we can focus on depth at: Linebacker, Defensive End, offensive tackle, maybe Safety.

While I have not researched his back injury, Shaq Griffin might be a nice addition to the CB group. He is 27, has been successful, and can't ask for bags of money following a year in which he spent most of the 2022 season on IR. Jax tried to trade him, no takers, so they cut him. I'd hope we'd kick the tires--that is about all I know.

I hear that they hired the guy who designed the Washington Commanders uniforms. Get ready to cheer! Disclaimer: I did not hear that.

I cringed when I saw that in 1995, but i was so excited about a team. I was a colt fan--not used to 3 primary colors. Those numbers look like Walmart. The faces of these guys tells it all. You know they are interns or office workers who got paid $20 to put these on for reporters--and they look a bit embarrassed. Or they should.

Not scared over the middle.
-
It really is. TO be fair--I do not like the blue--you can't see the Panther logo's left whiskers. Throws off the balance.
-
-
This particular design also has blue stripes with black trim--and they should probably be black like they are now.
-
I heard that they are getting Alexander Julian to design the uniforms so we could be getting pinstripes and pleated pants--stay tuned
-
Think they planned to take the silver out of it. It does not bother me, but I can see where others might not like it.
-
Jones might be this class's sleeper.
-
Amen. I am in favor of the white helmet, after seeing the black ones--plus there is the heat issue.
-
Was it though? read again.

As a big nickel only--but he is too good to limit his play like that.

A CB or edge in round 2 would not hurt my feelings. Or ILB., I think CB is a big need that not many are talking about. I still think we sign one more player before the draft.
