  1. Jacobs = Trusnik Maybe Gettlemen is worried about a potential comp pick. Chandler is the 4th OT, and Silatolu is a backup who can play both sides---Still, I think we shop through the cuts today to find an upgrade or 2. Silatolu, A. Edwards, J. Clausen, E. Brown, Otah--damn, Hurney. I seriously would have done better.
  2. When you put it like that, Miley and Cox just belong together.
  3. I thought about that later. I also thought it was extra conditioning for his dwarfy fat ass.
  4. It is worth noting--great observation.
  5. Great point about Tolbert. I still don't thing we keep 5. As I said to KB, this is VERY interesting.
  6. I am guessing that we could go with 4 knowing that help is on the way--depends on other positions and how much they can afford that luxury. This is interesting.
  7. I think that is premature. I do not see how we can--we shall see.
  8. Seems like we are in a lull-- We had a good defense last year, especially toward the end. What did we lose? Now we have Marlowe, Miley, possibly Cox--all undrafted free agents---competing for roster spots. We found Coleman. On offense, we found guys like Simonson, Wegher, and plucked players from the bottoms of teams rosters like Todman. Gettlemen and the scouting department deserve an A+ again this year.
  9. Funny that they have yet to cut Cox-- I am guessing a PS spot for him
  10. Unconfirmed, but Marlowe on the roster (if true) certainly suggests things could get interesting.
  11. Look at our Safeties and tell me you feel good with 4--one is an in-the-box linebacker type, but he was not impressive in preseason. He whiffed and committed penalties. The other is a special teamer never intended to be more than that--but maybe OK depth as the 4th S. Marlowe is multi-dimensional and I don't think he would survive the PS. We would be up the creek without a paddle going with Boston, Coleman, and the 2 mentioned above. I will go out on a limb and suggest that we either keep 5 Safeties or we cut Harper. To Harper's credit, he is the vocal leader of the secondary, but our defense is not as effective with one coach and 10 players.
  12. Here is my conspiracy theory--we have 3 RBs and Tolbert. While I expect Fozzy or Todman to make the team, If we have other needs for depth (say DT since our starters will be out of shape; DE, and DB) the smart thing would be to cut them both and carry a RB on the PS. Wegher just played too well to be that PS back, so they may cut them both and find a fourth back after cuts to put on the PS. Just a theory.
  13. If the coaches watch film and there is a God in heaven, one would have to think so.
  14. Sure looks as though we were bringing in our hopeful PS players early in this process. I am speculating that everyone after Bersin., Ball, Brown, and of course, Boykin gets an offer. Tough day for your last name to begin with the letter B it would seem.
  15. I called this back in early August. Word.
  16. Tech problems? I am seeing repeating posts.
  17. Stewart Artis-Payne Wegher ...............Solid. What are the chances we cut BOTH Todman and Whittaker?
  18. I think they are going to PS him for depth and hope he stays there. If is could mean they are making room for someone else--
  19. Yes, but I watched him get abused. I am not sure they bring him back to the PS.
  20. Areas of interest (to me, anyway): RB, DE
  21. With Boykin, Bersin, and Brown cut, that leaves us with 6 WRs. Byrd has PS written all over him--are we going to sit with 5 and grab a free agent toniight/tomorrow?
  22. Is Norwood basically the same skill set Bersin provides? I think so--same basic size and hands.
  23. I think he has lost all confidence and he was never smart enough. Cut him and never draft an OL playing elevated high school football again. Hurney.
