So did I. Hindsight gives me great wisdom.

I understand that there are busts, but how bad was Hurney? If you recall the whispers after draft day: 1. Marty tried to trade up to get Little. he was nearly a first rounder. 2. Marty tried to trade up to pick #33 to get Jimmy Clausen. Could not believe it when Clausen "fell" to him. 3. Marty traded up for Armanti Edwards, giving NE the 33rd pick in the draft. Marty was so bad, he helped us get Cam. Oh, and about that--Marty wanted Darcel Darius; Rivera wanted Cam. Rivera won the debate.

good. Now I can stop pulling for the guy.

10 points for using "malfeasance" on an NFL discussion board. I keep hoping this too, but it could mean we are keeping Scott, Irving at LT with Moton as the emergency LT with Christensen to RT....(Bubble bursting thought)

He is not good, but obviously people smarter than I am saw something in him.

Watch him develop into an All pro there.

Hey! You can't correct my flashback!!

So they will be in the locker room getting taped up and someone will tell the trainer to stop wasting tape on cut players. Damn. (In college, the team was cutting some walk-ons--and rightly so--we had more walk-ons than blocking dummies that needed holding--and that is how a few players found out-the trainers were given a list of players not to tape and to send to the coach's office) Cold.

About Marshall and the reps. He is the #4 WR right now, will be the 3 in a few weeks. He is not getting first team reps in practice/scrimmages as much as Moore and Anderson. He needs the reps. Just because the ball went out of bounds does not mean that ball security is not an issue. He better cradle that baby with the jaws of life.

This guy is a hoot.

Then you are laughing at JESUS!! I am going to ban myself for a few hours after that one.

I would think the first round of 5-member cuts should come with a "buyer beware" label, unless the team is doing a player a favor so he will get picked up...

Panther in each of next 4 HOF classes?
MHS831 replied to Santee_Panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
If we are going to run a base 4-3, we need a stud MLB...Mills, Morgan, Beason, Luke--we have better MLBs than the Bears, arguably--over the same time period. -
camp legs--like rubber

Deonte's feet in run blocking---nice. He still could lose about 10 lbs, but I think the staff wants to get them ready at some point. Moton to LT depends on Erving, really.
-
Right--48% completion percentage. He is a decent backup--maybe in the top 25 for reserve QBs. Heck, the bears might have 3 QBs better than all of ours. Not dissing Sam D, but it is possible.

No, but one of his FGs was pushed so far right, I thought he missed it. It went over the top of the upright. Another shorter FG was good from 40 or so, but would have been NG from 45---if I remember correctly

I watched Nixon twice I think--double teamed both times

Kevin Donnelly Said Rhule Was Livid at the Half

DBO Cost us the game--glad it was preseason -
Think skill set and networks of support and not people and past history. If you surround the QB with talent, his talent is more likely to be realized. I worry about the OL, but that is a great example. The OL is a unit. They must communicate, help out, etc. We will have 2 new OL starting this year on the left side--it will take time. I suggest that Rhule starts Elf and Erving and benches the rest for this game.

Wait a damn minute---the OP was not telling you what to think-scholars--he was saying "don't jump to conclusions" because Darnold had a good opening game in preseason as well. And you accuse him of jumping to conclusions (Bridgewater comment). Do you hear yourself talking, or is there simply elevator music playing in your head?
