  1. Rayzor: I am the alpha male here, and I say 1 thread!!! Zod: I need to reclaim my turf. Rayzor: I have spoken!! Zod: But I own the microphone, I say unto you. Rayzor: You wouldn't!! Zod: I would and am going to. Rayzor: Damn you. Zod: Buhaaahaaa THE END
  2. FWIW, I wanted him at LT all season--too good an athlete. However, they seem determined to make him a LG--and I think, if we move the pocket and pull him in the run game, he could be decent there--with experience. The fact that he played no real position in 2021 is an outrage. We saw him vs. 2 teams at LT play well--and there are so many different kinds of DEs/OLBs in the NFL, it takes several games to get a good feel. If I were playing vs. BC, I would get a 280 lb DE and bull rush him. Not sure he saw that in the last few games.
  3. Were you around when the Panthers traded for backup Jake Delhomme?
  4. I am leaning Watson (make the trade) but I see your points and must admit, they will be the first things that pop into my head if we sign Watson. Good argument against the field.
  5. Not really--he is talking about Gardner Minshew and Burns, Chinn, three first rounders...I see the point. I am on the Watson bus, but I too wonder. Remember, a former Saints backup took us to the Super Bowl.
  6. It is a huge gamble and it could indeed backfire.
  7. While your argument is compelling, if we find a better LT in free agency (and I doubt it) BC becomes the LG. That is what I meant when I said, "Brady is a LG--hopefully" It means we have upgraded 2 positions.
  8. After this I will get back to the Watson lack of news--I think he once--on the air--claimed to have had sex with some athlete's wife or something like that. What a dweeb.
  9. Celania, if still alive, was always the cantankerous idiot on WFNZ. This sounds par for the course.
  10. So we now have 2 credible NFL starting OL We have an unproven 26-year old LG (hopefully) in Christensen. A marginal C (Elflein) who might play better between 2 solid Guards. So maybe, just maybe--a LT or LG is all we need. Discuss amongst yourselves.
  11. If we are talking about OT free agents in this draft, it could mean one of two things: 1. We are trading our #6 overall pick for Watson. 2. We are using our #6 overall pick on a QB, probably Willis. It makes more sense to sign a free agent LT if you signed Watson than it does to pass on a solid LT for a mediocre QB likely to bust.
  12. I agree. So we pay $35m for a QB who is out for over 1/3 of our games. 2022 done, imo. We lose a star RB, DE, and maybe a WR like Moore. We lose our first in 2022, 2023, and 2024. And we can only be good when this investment is 28--which means we have a top QB for about 5-7 years. So if 2022 is a lost cause because we only get Watson for about 60% of the games if he is healthy, why not trade the players you intend to include in the deal for first rounders, basically guaranteeing the chance to draft a top rookie QB in 2023, when the shopping is good? Not suggesting this, but I am saying there are many ways to become relevant. If we dont get Watson, I am OK with it. If we do, great.
  13. If a potential suitor is eliminated, the Steeler QB news is related--even though they said they were out of the Watkins Sweepstakes. I figured it was because if they signed Watson, they would have to give out "Terrible Towels" that are a bit gooey.
  14. a metaphor relating everything to the dress photo where some saw it as blue and black, others saw it as white and gold. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_dress
  15. which are the panthers and saints colors!!!!!!!!! This is getting spooky. OK, I am back.
  16. Yeah, If I am honest, I would like Watson but understand that there are benefits if we do not get him--like players and picks. Imagine, long term, that we lose in 2022. Fire Rhule, draft a stud QB, and still have cap room for the core. Is that worse than signing a guy who might miss 1/3 of the regular season games on suspension? Either way, 2022 is toast.
  17. technically, you can combine 2 first round picks late in the draft and the value would be less than the #6 pick. Since Houston has the #3 pick, they could strike gold with a few free agents and the draft.
  18. I thought it was funny. Not sure the message was going to hit its mark. No worries..
