  1. HIs deposition was (supposedly) this AM and he meets with Cleveland NOW>
  2. It makes sense, and nothing else really does, from the Texans' viewpoint. I think I heard that Watson contacted Atlanta--which is interesting, but they have the fewest assets to move--the Falcons would be fools to ignore the request, but the reality is they can't afford it.
  3. A sports radio personality in Houston said that most people there want the trade to be with the Panthers, based on the available assets. Aside from that, who knows?
  4. So here is what we know: The last time he chose a team to play for, their mascot was a large cat. They also had orange helmets. Panthers or Browns.
  5. So if we don't get Watson, the next Panther move is to announce to the NFL how much they like Willis at #6.
  6. What a great year to have a bunch of butt munchers at QB in the draft. I think you draft a LT if this falls through. And Tepper took Rhule with him to Texas? That is like taking your cock-blocking cousin who knows nobody else to a party.
  7. The Saints are not the front runners. That was an opinion that is now being parroted. They are doing all they can to keep us from getting him, hoping to get a bargain in the process. Watch the Browns if anyone, in my opinion.
  8. Don't let the sideshows distract you---if we do not get Watson, blame Rhule and the circus he created here.
  9. when a top name reporter shares an opinion, the lesser reporters copy cat that sentiment, assuming the top reporter has inside information. Best to wait until tomorrow or lose you hair today.
  10. This is like in high school when the girl you asked to the dance replies, "I will let you know." (happened to a friend). What the hell? Where is our Pride? (Not the one on IR)
  11. I think the Cleveland interest is genuine, but I think the Falcons and Saints are bidding us up by trying to appeal to D4, not the Texans. They would allow the Texans to use them to do that. They also recognize that this may not be about giving Houston a great deal-they can negotiate with the player-like a free agent. Many times free agents claim they did not take the best offer-so they are playing that card. Selling themselves to D4 with intangibles. For example, New Orleans says "We are a QB away--solid front office...." Atlanta would say, "Come home, son, where the community can help you heal from this ordeal." Houston would allow it.
  12. If you like the first car you test drive, do you just buy it without making sure?
  13. Let's say Daniel Jones was a top 10 QB and he became trade bait---even if we were not in position to compete with other teams, would we not try to lure him back to Charlotte--his hometown?
  14. Think about it---Atlanta will pitch the "home fires burning" but they will not have much else. They would be remiss if they did not try it--maybe the fan base expects it--but they are simply giving it a shot.
  15. I want Darnold to be a part of the deal. Dammit.
  16. I have other stuff to do...But I have been drawn back to my computer every 15 minutes or so for the past day or two. I am going to feel really empty and stupid if he signs with the Browns--and I might even call them the front runner right now due to the fact that Watson wants to talk with them. Maybe Houston won't take Baker--and that end falls apart.
  17. TEA LEAVES? Does this mean that they expect Chinn to be included in the trade for D4 and decided we need some depth? Mysterious, man.
  18. Yes. He likes orange helmets. The Browns agreed to keep them orange. Deal done.
  19. Rayzor: I am the alpha male here, and I say 1 thread!!! Zod: I need to reclaim my turf. Rayzor: I have spoken!! Zod: But I own the microphone, I say unto you. Rayzor: You wouldn't!! Zod: I would and am going to. Rayzor: Damn you. Zod: Buhaaahaaa THE END
  20. FWIW, I wanted him at LT all season--too good an athlete. However, they seem determined to make him a LG--and I think, if we move the pocket and pull him in the run game, he could be decent there--with experience. The fact that he played no real position in 2021 is an outrage. We saw him vs. 2 teams at LT play well--and there are so many different kinds of DEs/OLBs in the NFL, it takes several games to get a good feel. If I were playing vs. BC, I would get a 280 lb DE and bull rush him. Not sure he saw that in the last few games.
  21. Were you around when the Panthers traded for backup Jake Delhomme?
