  1. He had no WR's, no TE, and No line. He has been given nearly zero reps in practice. Not fair to him--but I was hoping for better.
  2. I just hope Baker elevates his preseason game 1 performance so that his stats outperform Watson in Cleveland. Snicker
  3. Can you haggle on that platform?
  4. You have to take the entire picture into consideration, understanding the metaphors and suggestive language. "Wearing this shirt, I may find about a half dozen (6) turds (brown) on the field." Now the investment seems wise.
  5. While I will not deny that he is good, when you trade away your drafts through 2034 and you put your team in cap hell moving forward, it is pretty easy to have some positive moments.
  6. To me, the temperaments of the 2 individuals is a huge factor. Sam is quiet and reserved, and he does not seem too bothered by his lack of success or the signing of Baker. Baker is more of an Alpha, and I do not think he would settle for a backup role. I think Sam is more willing to accept that role. Of course, this is only important if they were equal in talent.
  7. I get that-I really do-but I think they really need to get to Corral while they have a chance. He will be buried this season as the #3 and they have some huge decisions to make about the QB position this winter. But to your point, by the second half of most preseason games, you are getting practice squad hopefuls, so it may be more harmful than helpful...
  8. QUESTION: WHY? You have 2 NEW QBs, a NEW OC, a NEW offense, and the real impact players need reps. I hate Rhule's cockiness and his stupidity. He Knows what Darnold is about, and PJ does not even belong in the league (below 50% completion rate).
  9. It is nice to have gone from 1 startling T in 2021 to 3 starting T (caliber) in 2022. Through a 17 game season, that could be huge.
  10. The ONLY value that Darnold has right now is if his presence can make Baker better (competition). I am concerned that Corral is standing around while we sugar coat a dog turd with reps, but that is not my decision. I get the feeling that Corral will win the hearts of fans during the preseason.
  11. Yeah--I think it is a weakness. We have some decent blockers, but I would hardly see any of them taking focus off a WR or keeping a team from blitzing.
  12. Some of Rhule's "Senior Bowl magic". How we discovered LS Fletcher.
  13. Did you know that last season, Chuba led the league (25% of his carries) in carries that lost or failed to gain yards? Some or most of that is on the OL, but CMC hardly ever loses yardage
  14. In my view: LOCKS Ickey (LT--giving up on the idea that he could play LG) Moton (RT) Christensen (LG; swing T) Corbett (starting RG) Bozeman (C with the ability to play G) Elflein (decent at C, not good at G) Erving (veteran depth at all 5 spots--could be a cap casualty if we attempt to sign a player however) Mays (raw upside and versatile) Jordan (depth at G) Deonte gets cut and MAYBE put on PS. If they liked his development, I doubt the sign Bozeman or draft Mays.
  15. I do not see McVay wanting a qb to develop--if he thinks he has to do that with Sam. He would want a QB who fits his system well enough to manage some games. I am split on that one.
  16. I worry about stopping the run, but if we could somehow get leads, that would negate that weakness a bit. I am not really worried about any other position than QB and DT.
  17. I have not read the thread yet, hepcat, but I think we have a better RB room than we did last year. That said, without CMC, this team has been awful.
  18. Here is something to think about with your brains: We potentially have 3 QBs on the roster this year better than our starter last year. You say to yourself, "But silly man--one of the QBs you mention was our starter. How could this be?" I say to you, "Yes, but he is possibly better this year. He has competition. He has a better OL and OC. He has to be better than last year." "And Corral could quite possibly be the second best QB (right now) on this roster, behind only Baker."
  19. About the WRs--If Marshall steps up, and Robbie gets the ball when he should be getting the ball, I expect the remaining WRs to fill the #4-6 spots nicely. Something that would help our WRs is a stud TE--maybe Tremble steps up
