  1. Guys, I do not really follow the NBA, so I am learning from you. Here is how I see the trade: This was a loaded draft, and a year from now, a player at #19 is likely not to be as good as this guy--who was ranked #11 on the big board I was using (Bouknight was #7, fwiw). Considering that this draft is being compared to the 1984, 1996 etc drafts, you have to assume the value is there. I do not see the down side. Jones needs a year, so basically they have a "free year" to groom him for the NBA. Assume he entered the draft in 2022--where would he go? Top 8? Probably. Sorta how I think of it. I will shut up now and learn.
  2. Probably--I never was a scout. AU is a flawed human being. We are working with him, however, to make him like us. Totally destroyed.
  3. And before anyone bashes any professional athlete you should track your own athletic career and attempt to discover when you transitioned from prospect to critic.
  4. Newton and his glow booger. Proud Papa.
  5. Not, 'The Corps' you bunch of Jarheads. Who is the core? Sure, you can make a list of the best players, but the core has to consider cap. So you basically have about 3-4 players on each side of the ball. The rest are fluid. So I will attempt this without cheating, and if you disagree, you are not a real Panther fan. To increase the level of difficulty, I will do this anticipating 2021-2024 and rank players in order. I will base this on what we know, not what we hope. OFFENSE 1. CMC, RB 2. DJ Moore, WR 3. Moton, RT DEFENSE 1. Burns, DE 2. Chinn, S, LB 3. Brown DT 4. Horn, CB* While Horn has yet to take a snap, he has all the makings and the bloodline to be elite, so I am going to go ahead and put him here. If you disagree, you shall be shunned. Names to watch: Darnold, QB Marshall, WR DID YOU KNOW?: 2 of the Panthers' top players on the "Core" list had fathers who played WR in the NFL, but these 2? Remember, I have EXPLORER status.
  6. By the way, is my badge a light bulb or a large woman bending over from behind. "Explorer" could apply to both.
  7. I talked to KB after an OTA--very nice, very immature, and he does not come off as someone who is very smart. I liked him, but I work with young adults for a living and sensed that he would be a bit difficult to supervise--just a hunch at the time.
  8. It did--a Safety no less.
  9. You were 5 9 before getting compacted? I was 5'2" when I was born. True Story
  10. When Nippleshorts can track you down, time to retire.
  11. Yes, but I heard he used to be 5' 6". That is problematic.
  12. There are no Spartans or (ice) "burgs". Not many signs due to the public school situation in SC--so take a GPS. You will know when you are there when the kids have gun racks on their tricycles and the girls with debutante tattoos and bedazzled spit cups try to con you out of a quarter. I am sorry--what was the question?
  13. CMC had a rough off season...
  14. what is that bear doing on your podcast?
  15. Using my profile pic as an example, why do the Panthers have dweebs and dorks covering them? It is embarrassing.
  16. makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. He is such a great person.
  17. Elf is a wide zone run blocker--the JETS did not have a wide zone back. As for pass protection, G's tend to be about as good as the T/C combo that surrounds them.
  18. I am striving to become Captain Dragon Fire.
  19. So they want the appearance of trying to shop him, but they want to keep him. Maybe a smart PR move-- "We tried to trade him, ladies, but nobody would take him. So, we had to keep him. We are going to require some counseling, mind you."
  20. If rape is on the table (bad choice of words) he could give a warden 10 years.
