  1. Deonte's feet in run blocking---nice. He still could lose about 10 lbs, but I think the staff wants to get them ready at some point. Moton to LT depends on Erving, really.
  2. Right--48% completion percentage. He is a decent backup--maybe in the top 25 for reserve QBs. Heck, the bears might have 3 QBs better than all of ours. Not dissing Sam D, but it is possible.
  3. No, but one of his FGs was pushed so far right, I thought he missed it. It went over the top of the upright. Another shorter FG was good from 40 or so, but would have been NG from 45---if I remember correctly
  4. I watched Nixon twice I think--double teamed both times
  5. Think skill set and networks of support and not people and past history. If you surround the QB with talent, his talent is more likely to be realized. I worry about the OL, but that is a great example. The OL is a unit. They must communicate, help out, etc. We will have 2 new OL starting this year on the left side--it will take time. I suggest that Rhule starts Elf and Erving and benches the rest for this game.
  6. Wait a damn minute---the OP was not telling you what to think-scholars--he was saying "don't jump to conclusions" because Darnold had a good opening game in preseason as well. And you accuse him of jumping to conclusions (Bridgewater comment). Do you hear yourself talking, or is there simply elevator music playing in your head?
  7. That is because it is not a position--it is a network. The OL, WRs, TEs, RBs, Defense, Offensive Coordinators, head coach--they all have a lot to do with the success of the QB...And Darnold was in NY where he had the worst of all of these...Let's give him a chance.
  8. I get this, but we should be excited about Darnold. He was also a #3 overall draft pick, just in 2018.
  9. Cam is going to look good until he starts getting banged up again. Mac Jones--if you recall my posts about him pre-draft, could be a legit NFL starter in a year or two.
  10. He tripped over Daley who was writhing on the field holding his hammy.
  11. Are we really fighting over USC and Ohio State QBs? In a thread about a BYU 25-year old rookie Mormon OL?
  12. Cause there is nothing like some RT highlights in a hype video Nice work-- I apologize for the night Chuck's parents did it. If only Trojan man arrived 10 minutes earlier.

    2022 LTs

those aren't names. Seriously, watch Cross, the kid from Miss St. He has the tools.
  14. Part of a rotation. Snaps go up the more QBs go down.
  15. Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities. Seriously--a philosophy major? I was English Lit.
  16. Have not read the entire thread--scuse me if this repeats---He mentioned CJ Saunders a few times--he was an overachieving slot at Ohio St--converted CB I think--don't sleep on him. He is supposedly so smart, when he did not get a sixth year of eligibility, they hired him as a coach at OSU. Rhule likes the cerebral guys. Going out on a limb: Anderson, Moore, Moore, Marshall, Shi Smith, CJ "Watch the QBs--they like guys who go up and get it" Sanders, Bayless.
  17. Please mods--the Chuck IV experiment seems to have run its course. Do it.
  18. They did not want to weight for him to improve.
  19. Good. I am going to replace Person (at left) with him in a few weeks.
  20. Is Catsfan69 really Ked Woodley? I might be on to something.
