  1. There is some talk about them getting Von Miller back too---are they now poised to make a Super Bowl run? I guess we started something concerning Miller's jewelry box.
  2. That Gilmore trade (giving up a pick for an injured star player they could not afford to keep) was puzzling. They thought they were playoff bound at that time, fwiw. Decided to go "all in" they did.
  3. Lets say we rebuild the roster--would Rhule have won the super bowl if we had the Ram's roster? I do not think so. I think these players are expendable because they are in a bad scheme with a bad coach.
  4. I would take Norwell--many OL play strong til they are in their mid thirties. Not my favorite choice--- They had me until I saw Elflein and Brady playing beside each other. One is oft injured and soft at times, the other is an unproven 25 year old Mormon. With Cross at LT--where do you run the ball when you need a yard or two? Left? (Cross). Middle? (Elflein) Right? Christensen. Not ideal.
  5. Former English teacher (HS, Comm College) here---I would give you more pie if I could.
  6. Considering how weak this QB crop is and how strong the OL is--does anyone really think we are going QB? I mean, we have Darnold on a one-year deal and could probably bring back Cam. Nobody else makes us better in 2022. We are going OL--maybe a trade back. Seriously--you might do better in round 2 (if we trade back) and grabbing a QB there than in Round 1. What is the difference between Pickett and Howell, for example? Grab the Jordan Gross of the draft and let's stop worrying about OT. And if you think about it, even Darnold will improve with a better OL---will any rookie be better than the 2022 Darnold? Probably not--to be honest. No swings and misses. Get the T.
  7. When I look over the past 3 seasons (49 games), I do not see how we won 15.
  8. I think there might be one qb in this draft who could have an impact on the NFL level, but he is a project (Willis). Rhule is not drafting a project. I think they should just go ahead and trade someone or something for Minshew and be done with it--I think he is underrated and is about as good as we can get. Draft the OL, sign an OL, and enter the season with that.
  9. Signing this asshat is accepting what he did--if you can do that, good for you. You probably suck as a person.
  10. But as a leader, you lose the locker room when leadership creates division. It may be life, but on a team, you bond, you don't divide. The football coach's job is not to emulate life or nature--it is to get 53+ focused on winning a ring as a unit...This was a publicized event (media) and that was not lost on Rhule. He made a mistake. It could have been handled many different ways--a leader understands the impact of decisions on the greater good. Seriously, if Chinn did the same thing the following day and was not disciplined the same way, do you think the team would say, "that's life?" I don't.
  11. If that dude was sitting in front of me with that hat on because he feels the need to get attention at my expense, I think I would set a match to it. But that's just me...
  12. Here is the message Rhule sent--if you are a fringe player, I will make an example of you. I guarantee that Jeremy Chinn would still be on the team if he had been the person delivering a hit. Once you cross that bridge and act on something like that, you are simply setting the stage to become a hypocrite. Rhule is a paper tiger.
  13. I think Cross is going to be there regardless. The T from State may go earlier--but Cross is one of those guys that mockers fail to value and flies in under the radar--- I am not confident that we can take advantage of the #6 pick if we do not go OL---
  14. I think they take Neal. Then there should be 2 pass rushers gone. So 4-5 might determine our fate.
  15. But with the need for a new stadium, that could signal the start of the St Louis Panthers.
  16. when they first were announced, how do you think the Buffalo "Bills" fans felt? The Packers (are we moving or gay?)? The Browns (Glad the owner was not named Bronkowski)? the Saints (dang that is a terrible football name)? Steelers (after mill workers). It does not matter.
  17. THAT 40 Time blows it for me. (I am sure you meant 4.57)
  18. Post SR Bowl--Panthers trade back. https://catcrave.com/2022/02/07/carolina-panthers-7-round-2022-nfl-mock-draft-senior-bowl/ Sorry if this has already been shared--have not really seen it (or looked).
  19. Willis has the skill set to start in the right system, but he has work to do. There could also be a sleeper--if you think you know better go back and check your comments about Jones last year. We have to try and trade back, even if we lose some draft capital-- I see a "talent cliff drop off" around 12, so a team with a later first and second rounder may want to move up for a top 10 talent. I would not mind a tackle like Raimann or Penning and it is possible that Cross could fall. Linderbaum could slip as well. We should go into this season with the idea that we will protect Darnold and see how much he improves. I still see us going hard after Watkins--and I see us being active in free agency by signing an inside OL or two.
  20. His body language reeked of frustration last year--
  21. There are 5 OTs I would consider in the first--2 at #6 and 3 if we trade back.
