This is what we get every year. If he drops, we will know why--but I doubt it.

Week Of: Draft Buzz, Rumors, & News (w/updates)
MHS831 replied to davos's topic in Carolina Panthers
I have "worked from home" over the past 2 weeks, and I have spent about 8 hours per day watching/listening to the NFL Network. It seems rather obvious (based on this information) that the only way the Panthers will draft a QB at #6 is if they cannot get a trade partner and all top 3 LTs are gone. MHS prediction (take it to the bank): I think they would like to trade back, hope Cross falls, then move up with KC for Sam Howell. -
You are a troll. Stop it--find a hobby--work on that GED---invest in a cat. You can become something if you really try.

I bet you go through the lotion and towelettes.

It is so funny when the intelligent people know there is no way of knowing so they speculate with caution, but the dumbasses pretend to be blessed by some innate knowledge of the future and attack the speculative comments of the intelligent people as if they know all. I guess that is what they meant when they say, "Ignorance is bliss" or "a little learning is a dangerous thing."

Women don't think of me as a "friend." What's that like? I respect them, hugger. What Cam's interview comments contained were called microgressions. So for me to be against Cam's comments, I am for women. Duh. The Cam train has left the station. He is not coming back to save the day. Heck, Fidget Spinners and pagers are also not coming back. Sorry if this is all news to you.

Bob McGinn's annual draft spectacular (QB class)
MHS831 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
pleaase pleaase peleaze. -
The irony that surrounds the Debo conundrum is this: He does not want to be used in the way that makes him great. As a WR alone, he is good, not worthy of top 5 money. Hard pass.

Pauline doubles down: “Cross won’t fall past 6”

Maybe some religion on the Left side beside a LG named "Christensen"--If only Paradis was our center. -
After what he said about women? again? Maybe he gets signed, but the odds are against it. Darnold will have competition, however.

we had him in for a visit. There is also a QB from Brown that I really like. (EJ Perry).

Same could be said for the Lions and Stafford with no OL. There are no right answers at this point--just hunches.

Tony Pauline doesn't see a quarterback at #6
MHS831 replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think it is going to be: 1. OT.......all three gone? 2. Trade Back.....no takers? 3. Edge or QB -
I think if the OTs are gone by 6, there will be Sauce, Thibodeaux, or Walker on the board. Some team will want to move up for one. We trade back, grab the QB and maybe a G in round 2. We go with BC at LT, the new G at LG, Bozeman, Corbett, and Moton. The QB--Ridder or Howell. IF we get a trade back---if not, we might bite the bullet on a QB (Willis/Pickett). I HOPE NOT.
-
My gut: Pickett will probably bust. Maybe I am being convinced because he has been under the microscope for too long---I dunno. MHS's Big Board as of today 4/22 Ikwonu Neal Cross TRADE BACK Hutchinson Thibodeaux Willis

What a lack of vision we are experiencing. We drafted a CB last year. A CB....
-
To me, Darnold has this surf nazi mentality and does not seem too determined to fix his issues. He wants to blame fans for criticizing him--while he cashes the checks their season tickets fund.

I hate saying this, but I scratched him off my board because he has "short arms" thinking Rhule will not take him--I mean, if that is the reason Brady C is not at LT...Or we could have 2 T-Rex's on the left side. FWIW, his arms are 32 7/8" long. Brady Christensen's arms are 32 1/4" long. If we drafted Raimman and he starts at LT, then our starting tackles would be from Central and Western Michigan. That was a fun fact. Frankly, I think they should work Brady at LT and keep him there if he can play like he did over the last 3 games. Trade back, grab a QB and a LG. Just me, however.

I can easily see us taking one of the top 2 QBs based on our pre-draft activity and comments to the media. However, they are wrong about one thing: This year, you cannot swing for the fences and miss if you take a QB and there is a stud LT on the board. You better make sure the #6 pick is you QB of the future. We have a QB right now that was a reach on draft day. No buyer's remorse. I would be happy if we took the OT and traded for Baker-at least we get the T and we get a QB with experience. If I did that, I would not give him a long-term deal---he'd stay on the fifth year contract for 2022. Why not Jimmy G? Surgery and cost, but if SF eats some salary, why not? I think this will be the play, but if people know that we are making this trade, they will move up for the OT. They might anyway, which is why I think we should consider other options--such as an edge rusher or even trade back. I think this trade will be made at 9 PM Thursday, April 28. Boom--that is bold as hell. You have to think of Baker as a means by which we get our LT and take a flyer on a QB--former Heisman winner, first overall selection. Maybe this humbling experience does him well. Not to beat a dead horse, but this just makes too much sense.

The only way I can figure is Geographically.

The only way Deebo is Deebo is when he is in the SF offense. Here, he'd make a less of an impact in all likelihood, and there is some talk that Deebo does not want to be used like a Deebo any longer because he is getting beat down (see Newton, Cam). He will not have a long career in his current role. I expect his prime will end around age 27 and he will be out of the league by age 30--like most RBs.

I think you make serious errors of judgement when you compare one person to another person to justify your belief that he will be successful or not. I could say, "Tim Couch was another Joe Montana" based on their attributes in college. I could say that Ridder is the same as Mond or Howell is the same as Baker M--but just because people might share a trait or two--or look similar in some way or another--etc. Means nothing. QBs are best measured by "It"--so it is that swag in the huddle, the spark when he sees a WR breaking open when he is covered, etc. It is hard to tell what happens between the earholes in the helmet. You really can't compare 2 QBs without knowing that.

If all 3 tackles are gone, we might trade back. -
Athletic mock projects NC State tackle to Panthers

Remember last year when it was widely reported that the Niners moved up for Mac Jones? I keep hearing the rumors about Walker going #1, but I am not sure he'd be in my top 5. I am also hearing that the Giants like Cross--want a pass-blocking OT and they like him over Neal and Ikwonu. There is some interesting talk about the top 2 CBs--and Houston and the Jets are possible spots. Detroit: Please take a QB....Please! I think 2 Edge rushers (Hutchinson and Thibodeaux) will be gone before we pick-probably 3.
