  1. This is low hanging fruit. We should all sign a Hallmark card and send to the OP. We all have bad days.
  2. I have high expectations. I feel that any day, someone will break through with a solid, sound, substantial idea. I know that day might never come--some call me a dreamer--but I believe in the Huddle--except the Huddler, ironically.
  3. Sir, I am a mocker. I have a month of mocking ahead of me. You might be mock-free, but I am addicted to mocking. I must know now!!
  4. That is my point. I am guessing that we may not be done in free agency, but we need to keep $ for rookies and maybe they do something with Burns that may take early cap. I think we need a LB. If we are going to play YGM on the edge (I do not see it) or if Barno steps up in year 2, we could be fine at OLB/edge. I do not see how we are fine at LB without Luvu. I am not sure how often they will use Chinn there--lotta moving parts and ifs.
  5. I did not hear it clearly, but on the NFL network, I assumed they asked him about what he had for dinner with the Panthers (or Raiders, I think). I did not hear the question, but he said something like,"....I sure didn't have a crab cake and a salad." If anyone saw that, was that a dig aimed at Young? I assume not since I did not hear it clearly, but if it was, "Damn, son." If I were Young, I would send him a crab cake and a salad in the green room after I was picked.
  6. Makes sense. So in terms of needs, are you saying Edge over LB in the draft?
  7. How the Panthers plan to use Luvu is of interest to me, and I am hoping that some Huddler not addicted to someone else's prescription drugs can help. At WSU, Luvu played both LB and Edge. Since then, he has excelled here in Charlotte, but he has not been given 3-4 duties yet. Here is the depth at Each position, ILB and Edge OLB: ILB: Smith, Thompson (Chinn at times?) EDGE: Burns, Barno, Haynes (Gross-Matos?) `Note: Fitterer said that Chinn will play a lot at the big nickel. Gross-Matos may become a situational inside rusher (DE). The Draft: Seems to be weak at ILB, loaded with Edge rushers. Questions Who will start at ILB opposite Thompson? Where will Chinn play when not in the big nickel? Here is my dilemma: I sorta want Luvu at an ILB, but is that wasting his versatility and skill set? Is he good enough to play opposite Burns as strictly a pass rusher (with coverage skills?) Will Chinn play ILB when not playing big nickel? I am so confused about this--and the answer to all these questions might simply be, "Yes." These are hybrids who can play multiple positions, but that does not help me prepare for the draft--which is more needed: ILB or Edge? What are your opinions. Help me off the ledge.
  8. I feel pretty confident we are talking 6th or 7th rounders--probably 7th
  9. They can't announce this because if the Panthers finish ahead of the Niners, then swapping picks for that round is not to the Panther advantage.
  10. Also a good outlet (safe throw, more than outlet) for a young QB. With Hurst and a stud TE, we could throw many looks at a Defense, causing them matchup problems.
  11. I think you have to look at the longer-term plan---I was basing this on this year's needs, but if you have a stud TE there at 39, I think you take him. Kincaid comes to mind.
  12. I think they will go defense for sure--edge or LB
  13. I do not know the status, but we just signed a G and I am not sure how injured both will be in August.
  14. They are cocky since they learned that their Daddy is probably going to the Jets. No longer are they Rodger's bitch. Instead, Goff will be assuming that role.
  15. Seems that the Panthers are using the SAT prep practice--the process of elimination. A. Stroud B. Young C. Levis D. Richardson
  16. better than shat--and who amongst can say we've never done that in public?
  17. My sentiments exactly---I could live with either--I just worry that time will reveal the best pick.
  18. Body language tells the truth.
  19. Since you are struggling to express your true feelings, perhaps you are trying to say, "Golly. Some of you did not like Fitterer. I am sure his peformance without the former coach has been enlightening and you now see the benefit of our GM's job performance." There--now it is clearly stated.
  20. The absence of Matt Rhule is palpable. [ Note Fitterer's face after turning away. ("WTF?" And who is the insta-fapper in the background? Hope he's gone too)
  21. Just slow it down there, El Diablo. No since getting all blistered before the weekend.
  22. I was the first to call this. Nah--just wanted to be "that guy."
  23. Strongly suggests that Chark's agent called us, not vica versa
  24. I hope we get the right Chark, and not the left Chark
  25. NEEDS 1. Quarterback 2. Edge 3. Linebacker 4. Cornerback (Nickel) 5. Offensive Tackle (swing)
