  1. Rhule will probably have him at defensive tackle this weekend.
  2. Once again the NFL has shown us that covid restrictions are great theater and not much else. Wear your mask and you can return to play faster if you’re asymptomatic (which is 99% of covid positives in a league of world class athletes!). What a fuging joke. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32883210/nfl-new-covid-19-rules-include-changes-return-play-protocols-return-intensive-restrictions
  3. That's what I mean. Most of your average citizens are over Covid. There's a smaller class of people who aren't and a larger class of "officials" who are interested in forcing the rest of us to live under their thumbs because they are the final authority on "health and safety."
  4. It's all theater at this point. People can decide to get vaccinated or not. Cancelling games, classes, school, etc etc and forcing fully vaccinated and asymptomatic people to "isolate" is quite possibly one of the dumbest and most illogical concepts ever. I'm so sick of this poo and I'm sick of a few people in positions of power being able to seemingly rule over society with impunity.
  5. Yes, it's crazy but it's hard to separate the results from the inane covid policies. Again, Covid poses no risk to healthy world class athletes. It's going to be with us forever but yet we are still charging ahead with acting like the spread can be slowed or, even worse, that the virus can be eradicated. It's a complete overestimation of human agency in this situation. So fuging stupid.
  6. I agree he needs to go but the mad dash to get “the guy” is what put us in this situation with rhule. I’d rather tepper take his time and get it right instead of making a stupid rash decision that backfires. His quotes after he hired rhule are really stupid and reflect a lack of thought on why he was selected.
  7. Rhule and Fitterer are holding out until the first day of free agency when the lowest rated center in the league is available.
  8. That’s a lot of insight from a guy who doesn’t know how the panthers are run.
  9. If you are a bettor there’s a lot of money to be made by fading the panthers down the stretch.
  10. Brutal honesty. It’s not working and the signs are everywhere.
  11. No it isn’t. Viruses mutate and spread. Covid is a new virus so it’s going to continue to mutate for the rest of our lives. The idea that we can somehow stop this is antithetical to the “science” that a certain segment of the population likes to use to make value judgments of others.
  12. Testing vaccinated world-class athletes every week is the definition of jackassery. Time to move on with life. Covid won't be eradicated and it will spread when it wants to spread.
  13. Stop testing and you'll probably never know these guys even have covid. This is madness.
  14. I don’t know why we keep hearing about his year 3 college experiences. There is nothing about this roster which suggests that we are in a position to make any kind of major move next season. In college, a decent team can win 7 games a year just by having more talent than their opponents. In the NFL outside of a team or two (both of which were on our schedule in the first three weeks), the winning team wins because they are better schematically or execution wise than the other team. It’s a chess match and Rhule doesn’t appear to have the intelligence or mental acuity to play the game.
  15. Not surprising who is quoted in that article. A former Temple player who has become very rich because of rhule’s “process.”
  16. Rivera spent two years breaking in a rookie QB, something Rhule has yet to attempt. Rivera did not waste the massive amount of draft capital that Rhule has. Rivera had significant NFL experience and so did his staff. Other than both had losing records in their first two seasons, there’s really no comparison.
  17. This isn’t 2013 and this isn’t the 2013 team. Even assuming you are right, what’s the point?
  18. I think Christensen is a stud at tackle with the right staff and getting rid of losers like Daley and Erving.
  19. Yeah right. There’s no way rhule could ever go 12-4 or 15-1 or make the playoffs, much less a super bowl. People hate on Ron but at least he had some good years. Rhule is one of the worst coaches in the league, if not the worst.
  20. God I hate this team. And this coach. And this owner. An entire collection of losers.
  21. I don’t think any coaches are being scared off. There’s 32 of these jobs and it’s the pinnacle of the football coaching profession. It’s not a choice of Arby’s vs Wendy’s. Most guys would give their left nut for the worst NFL head position.
  22. I’ve never personally hated a coach before. I actually dislike rhule at a very personal level. I think it’s due to his arrogance and being totally out of touch with reality.
  23. Exactly. Even Shula could actually scheme guys open. Remember we played an entire year without even an average NFL receiver on the roster and we went 15-1.
