  1. Also he stays in pistol or shotgun because he can’t see. Never goes under center. The only few times he did, the play was a designed roll out to get him on the edge where he could see.
  2. The best QB available. Then trade the midget to Las Vegas for a 5th round pick.
  3. He is a professional football player who was taken with the first pick of the draft. He ought to be able to overcome certain limitations in his circumstances and rise above them. He has not done that in any measurable way after 12 starts. He hasn’t improved at all since the first game. Sure he may make a miracle turnaround but the odds are not in his favor.
  4. It’s not just stroud. Levis, Devito, Jake Browning, hell even Desmond Ridder threw for over 300 yesterday. What is the excuse for Bryce? The guy is Clausen level bad.
  5. Devito looking 1000x more effective than our noodle armed midget. And the giants gave up nothing to get him.
  6. With Dalton we’d be 4-2 or 5-1 over the last 6 games. Our schedule since the bye has been a joke. The fact that we’ve won not a single one of these games and have produced one passing touchdown in the last 5 tells me all I need to know about how subpar the quarterback play has been. Reich had so little confidence in young that he tried that field goal in Chicago that even our kicker knew he had no chance to make over going for it on 4th. I’m sure the entire staff knows the deal but they can’t bench him because it will draw the ire of Tepper.
  7. Then we gave up too much to get him, plain and simple. Making “some throws” (and there’s less than 5 per game) isn’t a good return on our very large investment. He’s played like a 7th round or UDFA guy who bounces around for a few years and is then out of the league. PJ Walker looked better last year.
  8. It’s an audition for your future jobs. If I need to gain a yard on 3rd or 4th and 1, I’m not hiring Thomas brown to call that play for me. He needs to go back to being the clipboard holder for McVay.
  9. Most pro-ready prospect my ass. I think we all knew prior to today that he's not ready to be a starter in the league. However, today was the first game where I thought we opened up the playbook and tried to do something different with our pass plays. There were no screens and not many designed short, safe throws to Thielen. Instead, we saw posts and go routes. When he had time to throw, Young was awful. Inaccurate, no anticipation, terrible footwork, basically everything that you don't want to see in a guy that you just mortgaged your future to get. Don't get me wrong, the playcalling could have been better, especially in short yardage. This was a game we could have won with a competent OC, but if we had won it would only be because of our ability to run the ball. We have basically become the Weinke/Clausen offense where we should just hand it off every time because we don't have a quarterback capable of making an NFL throw to an NFL open receiver. Young has so far to go that I'm now pretty much convinced we will waste another year on him and we will be drafting a QB in 2025. We should also consider bringing in some competition next year too in case things go south in the first 6 games. We absolutely made one of the biggest mistakes in NFL history with this pick.
  10. Chinn putting some more good tape out there. We won’t be able to get anything for that guy.
  11. Jimmy Graham in the advanced stages of CTE makes a circus catch to end it.
  12. Jesus mother fuging Christ. This short yardage playcalling is pop warner level bad.
  13. Don't think that Thomas Brown has a career as an offensive coordinator ahead of him.
  14. Bryce will complete a 15 yard pass in the second half and the nut huggers will lose it.
  15. Now we know why he never throws deep. Not even close
  16. How ironic that a shitty throw from the super processor leads to a serious head injury.
  17. These are the same guys who thought he was a #1 overall pick. Just because they played in the league doesn’t give them a crystal ball. What I see right now is a QB that has serious physical limitations that are going to prevent him from being worth what we gave up to draft him. Russell Wilson had escapability, Bryce just gets swallowed up in the pocket and is too easy to bring down. He doesn’t get the ball out on time and he’s not that accurate to go with a very average arm. Not the guy I’m taking at #1.
