  1. He could be a top notch CB (though I doubt it). Even if he is, it ain't gonna make a damn bit of difference when the opposing offense gets to start on the 50 yard line every possession because we can't move the ball. It doesn't help the team get better at a more important position of need. Total waste to draft a CB this high when there are more foundational needs on this team.
  2. Based on our need to field a competent offensive line to protect our average at best QB. Based on the high likelihood that this guy is a bust. This is a top 10 pick, not pick 30 for a team coming off a deep playoff run. CBs aren't taking anyone to the super bowl. Football games are won in the trenches and with a star QB play. Something we don't seem to understand based on our complete aversion to fielding an O-line that is worth a poo. The one year or two that we have done it in the last decade it was merely by chance.
  3. Top notch? Lol. This is quite possibly the dumbest first round pick in franchise history not named Biakabutuka or Vernon Butler.
  4. As Darnold gets sacked 100 times a game and throws a lot of interceptions. At least Horn will be on the field a lot.
  5. A legit secondary doesn't win anything. Elite lines and elite QBs do. The rest of it is window dressing. CB is a complimentary pick for a team that is already loaded and needs a push to take the next step. It should never be a #8 pick for team that is rebuilding. What a total waste.
  6. Sadly this sounds very accurate. Down 3 scores, Horn and Donte Jackson compete at the end of the game for who can pick up the dumbest penalty, likely after the whistle.
  7. Sam Darnold is our starting QB. Behind a terrible offensive line.
  8. Let's be honest, Rhule probably was a shitty hire to begin with. Now we have a shitty GM. I don't think this will end well for anyone. 4-12 incoming.
  9. Why not just select a kicker at #8? It might have the same impact.
  10. Tepper has been nothing short of a total clown
  11. Has it occurred to anyone that our owner is a complete fraud?
  12. Instead of making any comments at all, Hardin should be convincing his client to pony up million of dollars in settlement money to hopefully make these go away and salvage his career. After the case is settled he could then credibly claim his client did nothing wrong. The longer this goes on the worse it is for Watson.
  13. Not to mention the similarities of each instance. Rule 404 won’t be kind to him here.
  14. The optimism will quickly fade when y’all have to sit through 17 Sundays with Sam Darnold under center. This board will be in total meltdown mode by October 1st over this shitty signing.
  15. How many NFL players use 24 different massage therapists?
  16. Not so sure why the these posters are blindly rushing to defend Watson. 24 is a lot of women and Buzbee isn’t some ambulance chaser with late night commercials. He’s the real deal. At a minimum, Watson isn’t seeing the field this year.
  17. Tony Buzbee is hardly a nobody. He’s had multiple multimillion dollar verdicts, some more than 100 million. He’s taken on some very high profile cases against big corps and won. If there is even any scintilla of truth to these allegations then DW’s playing career is likely over. Tepper is an idiot if he still thinks this is a good idea.
  18. The guy representing these women isn’t some hack. He’s a highly successful attorney who has won a lot of big time cases. It’s too early to write this off as nothing.
  19. The results under Tepper have been awful.
  20. I sure as hell hope that this isn’t true. The first three years of this guy’s ownership have been a disaster anyway. I don’t know if he has a clue what he’s doing.
  21. Yeah but he had the advantage of already being in the club as a minority owner, thus speeding up the vetting process. That was a significant factor in the deal. It’s not like he offered half of what Navarro put on the table. He knew he had the advantage of being vetted which was important to Richardson who wanted to be done quickly. Thus he might have saved pennies on a 2 billion dollar purchase.
