For every NFL coach that lost 2/3 of games in his first two seasons there are 1000 bad coaches and a handful, at best, Bill Walshes.

It’s not college. “Young players” excuse doesn’t work for losing coaches. Professional league with a salary cap. The right managers can put a good team together each year. The fact is we haven’t done it. Again.

No surprise that the years we have been any good we had a good QB and a good LT. We really took a jump in 03 when we drafted gross and he lasted through all the playoff runs with fox and Rivera. In 15 we got lucky with Oher who had one good year left in him. this staff and front office are making idiotic moves. You don’t become a contender by signing corners.

So it’s a 3 year process. Which QB do you see coming here next year to rescue the team?

Darnold is strike 2 for rhule. He’s got one more chance to get it right.

Most of the drops were not hospital balls. They were just drops. The floater to Marshall over the middle where he got hurt was a hospital ball. Darnold led him right into the safety.

As others have said before, it’s scary that most of us on this forum seem to have a better handle on the problems and solutions for this team than the head coach who is getting paid millions of dollars.

I did see that. And then for the last two off seasons we have done nothing to address our QB or OL situation. We signed a WR to a terrible contract and all those resources that went into defense are translating to losing. So “rebuilding” is a scapegoat word for losing.

TBH I’m sick of the word “rebuilding.” Teams in the NFL shouldn’t ever be rebuilding their entire roster at one time. The talent pool in the league isn’t so shallow that you should have to be in some full on rebuilding project for 5 years like Tepper has said. If you have the right GM, scouts, coaching staff then you can be a bottom dweller one year and in the super bowl two years later (see 01 to 03 panthers). It seems like we are trying to do something like a college rebuild. Rebuilding is just code word for “losing” in professional sports.

If we only win 3 games the rest of the year (NYG, WFT and MIA) I think you’d have to say that something is wrong.

We should have known we were in trouble when the media and various “experts” praised the Rhule hire. That is always a sure sign that you messed up.

Can dumbass Dave just admit that he fuged up and move on to a real NFL staff? It’s clear that Rhule is just guessing here. He doesn’t know how to actually coach at this level. He and all his assistants need to go back to coaching amateurs. He reminds me of a younger Mack Brown. A guy who is great at selling hype with no substance.

How many times has this franchise given golden parachute deals to shitty players who should have been out of the league after their previous stop?

Rhule is running a pro franchise like a college rebuild project and he’s talked our stupid ass owner into believing that’s how you win in the NFL. At this rate we might have a talented enough roster to make a wild card in 2031. Spending an entire draft and the first round of the next one on defense was mind-numbingly stupid. Our defense is horrible after all that but at least we have 50 corners now. And another really good one who’s out for the year. This franchise is a joke.

Yet people here still suck him off and I don’t know why. Three straight non-competitive losing seasons and quickly angling towards a fourth. No plan at QB and a clueless coaching staff.

The only person who might be a bigger dumpster fire than hurney is Dave gettleman.

It’s like deciding which midget you’re gonna pick for your basketball team. You’re most likely losing either way.

We need to draft more defensive players.
