Exactly. The NFL is a week to week and year to year league. It’s not college where you and everyone else pretty much have a core group for 3-4 years after you recruit them. If it’s not working then you start over until you find the right formula. There is no 3,5 or 7 year “process.” You can be good one season and awful the next and vice versa. The teams that suck year in and year out are under constantly bad management who choose bad head coaches/staff and draft poorly. im more than a little concerned that we have a management problem which is a lot harder to fix than a coach problem. Rhule isn’t it and needs to be gone. Then our GM needs to find a way to acquire Watson or evaluate the best rookie QB next year and draft him. Everyone and everything else is pretty much a dime a dozen (including interior linemen) and can be built through free agency and lower round draft picks. TLDR Rhule is an idiot who is treating this franchise like a college program which is not how you win in the NFL.

It all goes back to poor/no planning. If they wanted to suck they could have stuck with Teddy this season. Hell I’m not sure that we wouldn’t be 5-2/6-1 right now if we had Teddy as our QB. But we chose to move on with no plan in place. Ended up settling for poo.

When they made the decision to move on from bridgewater they should have had a good idea how they were going to upgrade that position. Instead the plan was to practically beg stafford to come. When he said no we were stuck with darnold. Just another example of the hubris of this staff.

They could have just stayed with Bridgewater if they wanted a shitty QB. This was an intentional move to get an awful player. And it cost us draft picks. We could have the best defense in football history. It’s not gonna win games when we are this inept on offense.

He kept running fake punts last year, going for it on 4th down at the wrong times and just generally making stupid decisions. The team was no good last season but I think they lost 2 or 3 games as a direct result of terrible coaching. I remember asking myself "what in hell is he doing?" multiple times.
