Well that makes the whole thing dumb doesnt it?

It isn’t that we expected bill Walsh part 2 to come replace Brady. People are pissed about the lack of depth and experience on this staff. The “next man up” is another asshole buddy of our coach and another guy who has no business on an nfl staff. This whole thing needs to be burned down.

Hey another awful decision rhule has made in the first year and a half that he’s now trying to fix. Is there some kind of record for wrong choices made by a head coach? He’s got to be threatening it.
-
On a very short leash I would suspect. I think he’s coach in name only right now.

Carter - pretty awful. Undersized, easy to push around and create space. Moore - not a #1 WR. He’s a possession/#2 guy who isn’t making a difference against the other team’s top cover guys. Anderson - needs Moore and a legit #1 (not on the roster) to attract attention so he can stretch the defense. Otherwise he’s pretty useless. Brown - Vernon Butler 2.0 Chinn - good player who is out of position/role. Needs to be around the ball more than he is. Burns - good player, liability in the run game. If our offense could actually control the game more and make the other team have to throw more often he would rack up a lot of sacks and QB hurries.

Why would anyone want him?

Carolina Panthers HC's - Winning % Through First Two Seasons
BIGH2001 replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
I never understood the college mentality that we approached this with. A college rebuild takes 4-5 years. Enough time for a coach to get his recruits in and get through a full class of them. In the NFL you are tweaking but you should never be gutting the roster and spending entire drafts on one side of the ball. Rhule is using his college system of building teams with no adjustments for the league hes in now. It’s not working and he is refusing to change. The Darnold signing was a desperate move that backfired. The Cam signing was a desperate move to fix the darnold signing. Now he’s crippled us for the future to where we do need to actually tear down the whole offense and start over and we have limited resources to accomplish that. -
Carolina Panthers HC's - Winning % Through First Two Seasons

The point is that an entire roster can be turned over in 2 years and made into a competitive team if you make the right moves. Rhule has not made the right moves. We have 1/3 of a competitive team. -
He’s too busy doubling down.

I would have boo’d him if I was there.

I pretty much always thought he sucked.

Daily reminder that we gave up 4 total draft picks for Darnold and CJ Henderson. -
Happy Panther's tank thread and projected draft pick

Is it possible that the darnold trade was the worst in franchise history eclipsing even Sean Gilbert? -
My interest in this team is at an all time low

2001 lost a ton of games at the end of the game. They were more competitive than this group many weeks. Yes it was terrible but at least that team hadn’t spent 60 mil and 3 picks while failing to identify a franchise QB. We also had all our draft picks in 02 and used the first 3 on peppers, deshaun foster and will Witherspoon, all key players on the 03 super bowl team. Thanks to rhule and fitterer we’ve got one pick in rounds 1-3. I see our situation now as objectively worse than 01. -
WFT at least has an identity and a plan to win games. More than I can say for the used car salesman.

Let's look at our 2020 draft again: Round 1, pick 7: Derrick Brown, DT, Auburn - Benched on Sunday, hasn't done anything of note since he's been here Round 2, pick 38: Yetur Gross-Matos, DE, Penn State - Hurt a lot, used as situational run stopper, no pass rush ability Round 2, pick 64: Jeremy Chinn, S, Southern Illinois - The best player from this draft, not used properly by shitty coaching staff Round 4, pick 113: Troy Pride Jr., CB, Notre Dame - out for the year with an injury. The team has since traded over his position and now has 100 CBs. He must not be that great. Round 5, pick 152: Kenny Robinson, CB, West Virginia - irrelevant and non-factor Round 6, pick 184: Bravvion Roy, DL, Baylor - depth player at best, mainly irrelevant. Round 7, pick 221: Stantley Thomas-Oliver III, CB, Florida International - non-factor and irrelevant. The third CB we took in the 2020 draft. Dave Gettleman redux. So out of this draft, we got one good player and a few JAGs/situational players. Wow.

ND to Rhule after seeing his coaching this year
