  1. There’s been more talk about George Seifert around here lately than I can ever remember. I think we’ve devolved back to that sad era of the panthers.
  2. There are still people buying the “rebuild” stuff huh?
  3. This is the first time I’ve ever said this in 26 years of being a fan but I do not want to win any more games. The sooner we get rid of this staff the better. Wins only give the snake oil salesman more to point to to convince a dumb owner why he should stay.
  4. This is a pathetic list. I’d argue he doesn’t have a single good win yet. Even the ones that look good (saints week 2) turn out to be poo in hindsight.
  5. We lost by 3 scores to the Giants and Dolphins. Our offense might be the worst it has ever been. The only reason we have 5 wins is because 3 of them came against bottom 5 teams in the league. The other two came against teams with decimated rosters due to injuries/Covid. Where is the progress?
  6. Rivera didn’t spend his first two seasons fuging up every personnel decision that he made. And he didn’t mortgage the future on shitty players.
  7. Fedora at least had some decent offenses and one really good season.
  8. In any given situation, imagine something that should be said. Matt Rhule will say the opposite.
  9. I have to think if Rhule knew he was totally safe for next year he would have played out the string and made this move after the season. This seems a lot like Ron demoting Eric Washington after weeks of terrible performances. I suspect he didn’t want to do that any more than Rhule wanted to fire Brady but Tepper basically said make a change, show improvement or youre next.
  10. Theres no way another NFL team trusts him run an offense on his own at this point. I think he’s going back to college for awhile. It’s possible that he could completely wash out and 5 years from now will look like one of the worst hires this franchise has ever made (next to Rhule and george seifert).
  11. Im down on it because the move was incredibly stupid in the first place. From day 1, I saw major red flags giving a 7 year, 63 million dollar deal to a guy with virtually no experience in the league. Rhule is paid like a super bowl winning coach and he’s producing performances that would make a Lions fan cringe. it’s time to admit we fuged up and move on.
  12. Well that makes the whole thing dumb doesnt it?
  13. It isn’t that we expected bill Walsh part 2 to come replace Brady. People are pissed about the lack of depth and experience on this staff. The “next man up” is another asshole buddy of our coach and another guy who has no business on an nfl staff. This whole thing needs to be burned down.
  14. Hey another awful decision rhule has made in the first year and a half that he’s now trying to fix. Is there some kind of record for wrong choices made by a head coach? He’s got to be threatening it.
  15. On a very short leash I would suspect. I think he’s coach in name only right now.
  16. I wanted Ben Navarro. He seemed like he really wanted it too, he’s a local guy and less brash/abrasive/impulsive than Tepper.
  17. I would argue that the first mistake was hiring Matt Rhule and letting him bring his college staff and have near total control of the roster.
  18. Welcome to the David Tepper era. It’s like having Michael Jordan (pre Mitch Kupchak) managing an NFL team.
  19. Carter - pretty awful. Undersized, easy to push around and create space. Moore - not a #1 WR. He’s a possession/#2 guy who isn’t making a difference against the other team’s top cover guys. Anderson - needs Moore and a legit #1 (not on the roster) to attract attention so he can stretch the defense. Otherwise he’s pretty useless. Brown - Vernon Butler 2.0 Chinn - good player who is out of position/role. Needs to be around the ball more than he is. Burns - good player, liability in the run game. If our offense could actually control the game more and make the other team have to throw more often he would rack up a lot of sacks and QB hurries.
  20. I never understood the college mentality that we approached this with. A college rebuild takes 4-5 years. Enough time for a coach to get his recruits in and get through a full class of them. In the NFL you are tweaking but you should never be gutting the roster and spending entire drafts on one side of the ball. Rhule is using his college system of building teams with no adjustments for the league hes in now. It’s not working and he is refusing to change. The Darnold signing was a desperate move that backfired. The Cam signing was a desperate move to fix the darnold signing. Now he’s crippled us for the future to where we do need to actually tear down the whole offense and start over and we have limited resources to accomplish that.
  21. The point is that an entire roster can be turned over in 2 years and made into a competitive team if you make the right moves. Rhule has not made the right moves. We have 1/3 of a competitive team.
