  1. Did I say sam had an ego? Reading comprehension, bro. The good teammate and ego references were made because dalton is coming to a situation much like Chicago two years ago where he knows we are drafting a QB with our first pick and he’s not necessarily “the man” on our team. But he will still prepare and play like a pro but will do what’s best for the team. And yes, he’s better than Sam.
  2. The first time he fugs up everyone will be clamoring for the rookie. He’s a good teammate and doesn’t have an ego. An upgrade over Sam.
  3. It’s way too early to be drawing conclusions about that. We basically gave up one first, two seconds (the lower of our two), and a receiver who isn’t a game changer. The other option was continuing to sign overpriced vets and hoping we finally break through or rolling with Corral or whoever was available at 9 and hoping for the best. This was the right time to make the move. The other route would be more of the same that we’ve been doing since before and after the Cam era and for most of this team’s history.
  4. I think Lamar way overplayed his hand here. He's a mobile QB with some history of injuries and not a great playoff record. He's not worth whatever crazy demands he's making.
  5. 2 first round picks and a 3rd is what the 49ers gave up to get Lance and that wasnt even #1. If we trade, I see us trying to get to 1. It’s going to require three first rounders or at minimum 2 firsts and 2 seconds.
  6. I think you’ll see dominoes start to fall soon with someone grabbing Chicago’s pick.
  7. The 49ers gave up 3 firsts for Lance and they’ve been in the NFC title game the last two seasons. Having a good coach and GM helps.
  8. This is the year to go all in. Free agent QBs almost never work out, Stafford being an exception but that rams team was loaded and built for a 1-2 year run. Reich got fired in Indy by going the retread route. They’re kicking tires on Carr. If you’re going to make a splash and I think now is the time, you’ll have to go to 1 to get your guy. It’s risky but certainly no worse than hiring Matt Rhule and letting him spend 2.5 years looking for reclamation projects and generally running the franchise into the ground with his ego. We need a franchise QB period.
  9. Went to high school with him. Taking it way back now.
  10. Now is the time to make a move though. Recycled QBs haven’t worked for this team and they didn’t work for reich in Indy. The o-line is solid and we have a good staff with tons of actual experience. It’s time to go all in for the guy we want.
  11. This will be an expensive venture. I think three firsts is where bidding starts, including our #9.
  12. I’m not usually in favor of tanking for draft picks but there is absolutely no reason for this team to be winning any games right now. What a joke of a franchise.
  13. There’s only so much that can be done. The body is not designed to play football for 15-20 years.
  14. Doctors aren’t miracle workers. Put yourself through 200 car accidents a week and you’ll probably be in pain the rest of your life. What the hell is a doctor supposed to do? Own your choice to play pro football. All the risks are now well-known.
  15. I’ve never seen a guy get more coincidental bad press than russell.
  16. It you get paid to analyze football teams is it too much to ask for you to actually know a team’s needs.
  17. I could definitely see this guy making headlines in the chris Henry/Pacman Jones style.
  18. Feels like the conversation we had last year and then PJ Walker somehow stuck around and ended up starting a few games lmao. Reich’s failure in Indy was largely due to signing vet reclamation and retread projects. I’d be surprised if we go into any season with that prototype as our clear #1 option. IMO we draft someone top 10. Darnold or another vet are signed to compete/bridge the gap for the new QB and corral gets a full camp to show if he’s any good.
  19. Coaching matters. Wilks went 6-6 and some of our players thought he was Vince Lombardi because they only knew Rhule.
  20. I went to Baltimore one time, when we played the ravens back in 2006. Some guy tried to fight me on the way out just because I was wearing a delhomme jersey. Then once I got about one block over from the inner harbor I felt like I was in iraq circa 2003. Would never go back again.
  21. Levis has major bust potential. If we throw a top 10 pick at him I wouldn’t be very happy.
  22. I’m not gonna feel bad for a guy who got paid 60 million to suck at his job. He never has to work again if he doesn’t want to. Most people who lose their jobs are lucky if they get 2 weeks of pay on their way out.
