How can an NFL GM be so bad at his job? The common denominator for all of our shitty teams has been Fitterer. He needs to go at the end of the season and if the offense doesn’t significantly improve we need to be prepared to move on from Reich too. Thus far he doesn’t seem to have any answers and he just sounds like Rhule in his press conferences.

I like traveling to see this team but I’m done spending money to watch them lose at home or away. It’s fine on the couch.

Marty Hurney, Dave Gettleman, Scott Fitterer
BIGH2001 replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
For all the downing of hurney’s 2nd day picks (and they were bad), Fitterer has not been any better. TMJ is on par with Dwayne Jarrett, Corral is pickles or armanti Edwards. It’s just been nothing but a wasteland for Fitterer without the corresponding first round success that Hurney had. -
What if we do a role reversal and bring Bryce in for 4th and inches only against Seattle?

Fighting at BOA…. A fan just died at Foxboro

Every time I see one of these videos pop up on social media I think how easily someone could be killed with a punch in the wrong place. How hard is it to not talk poo to other people and mind your own business at a football game. -
Mays, Zavala, Ickey, TMJ, Ian Thomas. Name the common denominator? And we thought Hurney was a bad GM.

Frank Reich got fired in Indy for…having a bad offense.

This post reads like a 75 year old guy wrote a letter to the editor complaining about “kids these days.”

Give me a reason to be excited about the future of this team
BIGH2001 replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
I look back at those years and even then there were bright spots. That 99 team was 8-8 and scored a ton of points. Would have made the playoffs if we hadn’t lost to a bad Steelers team in a blizzard in week 15. 2002 we won 7 games after going 1-15. From 18 to now our best year was Wilks taking over mid-season and basically going back to 90s era football. But the talent level is bad. Bryce seems like a really good kid. I hope he gets it together with some better weapons. Fitterer is an awful GM and has made too many moves that should be classified as malpractice to retain his job. Tepper might be the worst thing to happen to this franchise not named Rae Carruth. I’ll keep watching but I’m nearing the point of finding something else to do with my Sundays for the first time since 1995. -
Give me a reason to be excited about the future of this team

I don’t feel like we are any closer to being a playoff team than we were 5 years ago. We missed the playoffs from 97-02 in what was previously the worst and most depressing run in franchise history, capped off by 1-15 in 2001. We are now well past that with little reason for optimism. fug you Tepper. -
I think he could go 0-17 and maybe would only get benched in a handful of games if things got out of hand (think 4 score deficits in the 4th quarter). They’re rolling with him and it’s gonna be ugly.

Did Cade Mays get benched or injured?

There’s a reason that Steve Wilks thought he was better utilized as a really big fullback. -
This. There’s been thousands of QBs in NFL history. And only one Drew Brees. The odds are ever against another QB coming close to what he did.
-
Unfortunately this is the reality in the NFL. Even at #1 there’s a history of guys not working out, being busts etc. Its been two games but so far I haven’t seen anything that tells me we got our guy.

Yes, to the other team. His lob to Thielen last night that forced Thielen to do a full backhand extension to break up the pick was extremely impressive.

Scott Fitterer Set Us Back A Decade w/ Two Trades
BIGH2001 replied to App Panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
49ers gave up a lot for Lance but they were smart enough to know he sucked. I guess if he didn’t get hurt last year they might not have found out what Purdy could do. In today’s NFL you have to constantly be improving and that includes QB. If we don’t see some substantial improvement soon we need to keep taking swings at the position. None of this waiting 3 years to see if he really sucks crap. -
This is a very very low bar you’re setting for progress. Basically “does he have any moves that resemble a professional quarterback at all?” Take away the #1 pick label and everything you think a #1 pick could hypothetically be and pretend for a minute he was a 4th round pick from SMU. We’d all be saying it’s been awful because it has. The flashes just aren’t there and his mental makeup is too docile to be a franchise QB.

what is up with Andy Dalton coming in for QB sneaks?

Probably the dumbest billionaire to ever live. -
Bryce Young is not ready to be a starting QB in the NFL
BIGH2001 replied to FutureDynasty's topic in Carolina Panthers
If you’re a head coach it buys you an extra 1-2 seasons because you can use the “but we’re still developing your franchise quarterback” line. -
Thank god we finally wrestled social media control away from Rhule. I’m surprised Fitterer didn’t trade a 2nd round pick for it.
-
But Shawn Jefferson put on pads and hit stuff in the preseason. I don’t understand what’s going on.
-
“Bryce, we decided to bring your dad in for the next play. We need an adult to move the pile. Have a seat right here beside the kicker.”

That’s our head coach/offensive coordinator playing chess again. He’s been brilliant so far. Why question it?
