We also said this in 2020 when Ryan, Brees, and Brady were aging out. The saints have been in “cap hell” for over a decade now. The NFC south absolutely sucks and we are in last place with few assets and poor draft capital. Gonna be hard to build much.

I went through all of them in a thread a few weeks ago. Besides Christensen, Hubbard, and Horn (always hurt), and maybe Bryce, the drafts have been so abysmal that I think random selection would have been better.

We are talking about these draft picks but do we still have Fitterer making the picks? If we got our first back he’s likely to package with a 3rd to move up 3 spots so he can snag a guy with a 4th round grade.

He would have been #2. He’s not been great but he’s made some good throws and it’s just hard to get a read on him in this terrible offense.

The only thing separating this franchise currently and the bears/browns/lions pre Dan Campbell is that Tepper has only owned the team for 5 years. Given more time I have no doubt the consistency will continue.

True story about Tepper. I was down on the field before the Rams game last year at Sofi and his dumbass walked over to where we were standing. He was talking to these two women standing next to me. Asked them where they were from and they said Charlotte. He said “oh did you drive out here?” They looked at him like he was stupid and were like “no, we took a plane.” This dude is so out of touch that he thinks us normal peasants are relegated to driving 3 days across country to see the panthers because there’s no way we could get on a plane and fly. That right there sort of solidified it for me. This guy really is an idiot.

He’s kind of a modern day Ricky Proehl. Reliable savvy vet who just gets open and makes plays. Now imagine Proehl being a #1 receiver and you see a big reason why we are so awful this season.
