We’ve seen what bill does with less talent and ain’t pretty
-
I’m sure this is what Tepper is putting out there to make the job seem attractive for the next coach. “See, Bryce is fine, it’s just that the last guy didn’t play to his strengths. Come in here and install an RPO scheme and everything will be great.” Not saying Reich was good but I’d be careful believing any sudden revelations coming out about why he failed at his job, especially if those things tend to give the first overall pick a blank slate. He still has a lot to prove and the jury is very much out on whether he’s even an NFL starter, much less a guy who can lead you to titles.

Lombardi on Reich, Tepper and the Panthers job

Spoiler alert: he’s not a good GM -
I could see better offense with Caldwell and Brown in charge.

Greg Olsen says he is interested in Panthers HC Job

Is he one of “the sharks?” -
On the Browns comparison, Bryce may be the next Johnny Manziel. The only thing that’s keeping me from completely declaring him to be a bust already is how terrible our offensive line and receivers are. However, I think he has a low ceiling and needs a lot of help to be a guy who even makes it to the playoffs.

Yeah like the Matt Corral value pick that he traded up (not down) for? We could start a whole thread on his mistakes. The guy has been awful.

RB Coach Duce Staley and QB Coach Josh McCown fired
BIGH2001 replied to jamos14's topic in Carolina Panthers
Dissension among the all-star* coaching staff? -
Remember when he told us how great Hurney was? He’ll probably fire Fitterer next year, keeping with the trend of mismatched head coaches and GMs.
-
I don’t really care about names. The Reich firing last year and subsequent hiring this year were both talked about extensively. The media made fun of Irsay for weeks and said the Panthers had made a solid hire. Well you see how that turned out. I guarantee you if we start winning games all the Tepper talk will go away and the meddling stuff will die down. Not that I don’t think he is a terrible owner because he is. However, I have a hard time believing that he’s out here acting as a de facto GM and telling Fitterer what free agents to sign and who to draft in the second round. Fitterer and the front office scouting staff has to go. If we get the right guy, regardless of whether he’s currently a hot name, the NFC south is a winnable division.
-
He’s at least equally if not more responsible for this disaster and he’s had multiple years of terrible drafting and free agency. The cherry on top was the Young deal. Firing a coach makes no sense if you also don’t axe the incompetent GM along with him. Blow it all up.

This is the completely wrong move but it also would not surprise me with Tepper in charge. Fitterer seems to have a Rhule like relationship with Tepper where all of his terrible moves seem to go unnoticed.
-
We got a 3 month jump on the process last year, filled our vacancy first, and ended up with the worst coach in the league. Early doesn’t matter when the guy pulling the strings is a terrible evaluator.
-
Saban is a top 2 or 3 all time college coach. The guy knows how to get players ready to win college football games. QB in the NFL is a completely different animal.
-
We are 1-10. Even if Bryce was forced on Reich, what about the rest of the roster? He was here when our wide receiving corps was taking shape, for our awful draft, and for completely failing to adapt to the personnel on his roster. He’s failed in every aspect as a head coach this season and deserves to be fired regardless of the owner being an imbecile.
-
Imagine if a Donald Sterling like tape came out on Tepper. That would be what we need to get rid of him and real housewife Nicole. Wishful thinking.
-
Yes the receivers are bad but Bryce looks really out of place on an NFL field.
-
The line looked fine when they had a coach who was running the plays that suit them. Reich has still yet to adapt and realize this ain’t the Philly offensive line.
-
Worst offensive line in history. Reich: let’s dial up a double move
-
10 games in and Reich still hasn’t figured out that this line can’t run block his zone scheme.
-
You cannot keep Reich past black Monday. He’s been terrible
-
Reich completely mismanaged the clock again. Tennessee had no timeouts when we got the ball back. He comes out throwing the ball with gunslinger Bryce and gives it right back.
-
I think playing with four linemen would be better than Zavala.
-
I’m sick of this mentality. It’s a loser mindset. There are 32 of these jobs in the world. It shouldn’t be hard to find someone who is qualified and wants it. Whether Tepper meddles or not this is Reich’s disaster and any competent coach would at least win a few games. He and Fitterer both have to go.
